Thinking of new trolling motor
I run a 52" maxxum on my tracker 185, if I'm fishing anything deeper than 3 feet or not inside the weeds, it's all the way down. If Im in shallow water I just pick it up. I could go with a shorter shaft, but I swapped this off my other boat. No real negative effects that I've ever noticed.

Is it true that after June Smallmouth move to 20-25 ft of water?

probably a stupid question
I have lowrance, but they both work more or less the same. My setup it an Elite 9ti2 at the console, and an elite 9 ti at the bow. I have a chirp/down imaging transducer up front on the trolling motor and a transducer on the transom. I also have an Point-1, Gps/heading sensor. I use that when graphing to have accurate waypoints. Up front I use the heading sensor from it so I know which way I am facing when casting to waypoints easier, but the internal gps of the unit so I have accuracy when approaching marks. This is how I have it setup now, but it can definitely be done with a single unit also.

Hurricane Effects
Now that you say that, up here in Maine, I've noticed that a bit as well since the start of this heat.

Recommended Fish Finder - $1000 Budget
Yeah I have an elite 9 ti at the console that I'm replacing my Garmin striker 9sv with. Now I can fish waypoints much much easier

Best glue for cork to rubber?
Use a good epoxy, Ive been using pro paste on my builds, u-40 rod bond is good stuff too. Honestly though for something like your looking for devcon 2 ton would probably work fine too, and be much easier to find locally. I'll let some more experienced builders chime in.

Elite ti2 9
Bad transducer?

Some of my first builds
Yeah I mostly use it for very light shaky heads I pour or Neds. Makes a good Neko rod for my uses too.

Thank you very much! I love it, very Impressed with it, I didn't specifically go for a very light build, but that's how it turned out!

Some of my first builds
These are my first two bass rods, please don't mind they aren't the cleanest right now as the have been in my boat! I previously built 2 fly rods before building any bass rods. The first bass rod was an MHX MB873 I built last summer the week of the 4th. Just figured a general purpose rod would be hard to mess up, turned out pretty good, fishes great, use it mostly for jigs or small swimbaits. The second rod I finished this Spring, It was a Rainshadow Immortal IMMS72ML, very happy with this blank. Used an Aero reel seat, and airwave guides system. Very comfortable to fish, and this is the most sensitive finesse rod I own by far. Also have and MHX 7' MH Crankbait rod that is just finished and waiting on a tip to arrive. Thanks for checking it out! I'll Post the new Crankbait rod once it is finished. Still new to this and have a lot to learn. Having fun and getting more comfortable with every build so far. I tend to keep them pretty simple.

Maine boater looking for someone to show him a few things
Hey all, anyone here from Maine looking for someone to fish with? Have a boat, but if I'm honest, I feel like I study structure fishing and when I get on the water I try to fish it, but always fall back to old habits and end up skipping docks or hitting shallower cover. Have sidescan and a unit on the bow. Lookingfor someone who can help get me started on fishing structure like humps and points. I live in the Durham area, if that matters. Tight lines!
