Thanks for the reply! I ended up ordering a trolling motor mount for the gt52, for $20 it's close enough it could fit. If not back to looking for a new transducer!

Hey all, I took the Striker 9 that came with the boat, unfortunately the gt52 that it came with will most likely not fit on my tm because of some of the skeg being in the way. I don't really need sidevu on the bow, but I'm looking at their clearvu transducers, and they all see to be about the same size. The maxxum I have is the one with the skeg towards the front of the TM. Thank you!

Just picked up a new to me tracker 185, I'm swapping my total scan from my old aluminum boat to this boat. I would like to be able to get readings on plane, motor only has a 50 horse so it's only does about 30 mph. I'm having trouble picking a spot to mount my transducer board, if I mount to step that puts the entire transducer under the water. I could use the previous owners board on port side, but his garmin that came with the boat loses bottom very quick. Not sure if that's just product differences or it's mounted too high.

The factory length cords ended up working, but I was worried the way I was going to route the wire, they wouldn't reach.

That's a good idea, that might be a better option. Thank you! Just called them the woman said it basically a CYA for them, if you know what you're doing and make proper connections, it won't be a problem she said, as I was assuming.

Thank you! Is it really a bad idea to extend the leads? I notice that Minn Kota says not to but as an electrician, I really don't see what proper connections would hurt.

Hey there! Just upgraded from my decked over 14 footer, to a 2000 tracker pro team 185 in very clean shape. Boats is underpowered with only a 50 horse but it's still a huge upgrade from what I had! Now onto my question, I was going to swap my 3 battery's in my old boat with the ones in the new boat because they are matching and have same use. I am also transferring my minn kota 3 bank charger onto the new boat, the bilge is too crowded to put it, but I think I may be able to use the shallow storage compartment under the seats. I figured if heats an issue I can just leave it open when charging, and with this being connected to the wiring channel in the back it will be easy to fish the the wire to the bilge. Also going to swap my 70lb maxxum over, and have to choose between my lowrance elite 9 to with totalscan, or the Garmin 9sv that came with the boat!

Lakes around here that fish tend to be pretty clear usually at least 6+ feet of visibility, often 10+ I'd probably be throwing 3/16 ounce Shakey heads or 1/10 ounce needs to give an example

I had 15lb hi viz power pro kicking around that I ended up spooling on my finesse rod with 6lb sunline, then I got seeing people say they never use over 10lb braid for finesse so it got me rethinking. This going to be an issue at all in anyone's opinion?

Have a small aluminum boat I built for fun and currently have an elite 9ti at the bow with a transom mount totalscan, looking to put a diner on my TM and wondering which one I should pickup seems like a few options. Looking for something with DSI capabilities, don't think sidescans necessary for me on the bow.

First of all, want to thank everyone who gave input on my thread asking about molds. I went with just a trokar arky for now as I figured that's the most versatile in the lakes I fish.

Yes, unfortunately it ended up killing some time I COULD have spent on the lake as well ? They are attached to the framing very well. Here is the best picture I have of the storage framing. That was all once piece. They are all insulated as well.

Rear bench other than that I don't sit. Just use the rear bench, passenger usually sits on deck facing me. Thanks it's an R&R designs recessed tray.

Just about finished with the deck project on a 14' aluminum. Still have a bit of work to do but for now I'm fishing with it. Boats very stable for its size, have no complaints yet. Also added a Lowrance Elite 9 ti with the totalscan transducer.
