Took the boat out to the lake today unloading went fine, while loading however was a different story. I backed the trailer into the water a couple inches below the top of the fender and drove the boat on. The nose hit the roller up front smack head on? We backed in the trailer a little more where the water was over the fenders and the boat nose still hit the front roller ! Finally i lifted the front of the boat up so the nose didnt' hit and my buddy wenched it in. Anyone have any suggestions should i have backed the trailer further in.

Hey guys went down checked out my boat this weekend. Got a compression check, checked out the trailor, the boat and all the accesories. Even took the boat for a test ride around the lake and fished out of it for about half an hour. The air temp was roughly 32 or so with 20-25 mph winds and white caps on the lake i had on my heavy jacket and face mask, but it still felt like a cold pack was straped to my forehead. Oh and as far as the fishing went i caught 4 Largemouth 3 around 13" and one mamma around 5 pounds what a day. Well now i finished 3521 with 437 points. Also i might add last in our group only way to go now is up. I had two people who i guess decided not to fish that hurt me pretty badly. Watch out for me this next tournament maybe i'll pick a lucky 5.

While at the local Boat and Outdoor Show there was a fellow that had 200+ rods for sale. I went looking through them and recognized a few but there were a few i didn't recognize that he said were great bass rods and very dependable. I asked him why i had never heard of them and he said the companys were out of buisness. He showed me the best rods that he had there the first was called BassChampions Tour Edition 7' med. heavy and the other a Cameron Graphite Rod 7' Heavy mod-fast action. I was wonderin if anyone has ever used either of these and how they performed? Thanks Matt

There is a local Boat/ tackle show going. While there i found the big bins of baits for sale grubs, senkos, tubes everything. My question are these injected mold senkos even comparable to the high price senkos they look okay too me they're soft and there's plenty of colors to choose from. Has anyone ever bought any and tried them and how did they fair? -Matt

Well did better than i thought got 15 of em right. I feel stupid though i missed the questin bout the pencil and i wrote down all my awnsers with a pencil. ;D My girlfreind got a good laugh outa that one...........i did get more right than she did though so she couldnt' laugh too hard.....she got 10. ;D

Hey roadwarrior you have all this build-up till the BIG GAME tomorrow but, i have one question for ya WHO ARE YOU PUTTING YOUR MONEY ON ?? I'd be willing to put 5 packs of 3X Baits on the Colts winning.

The walmart here has a ton on sale flw jigs and trailers 1$ each, arkansas beavers 1$ each flw soft plastic lizards, craws, tubes, etc $1.50 each, like 60 bags 3X baits 1.50 each and a few shakespeare rods 5 bucks each. An chatterbaits $3 bucks apiece. The baitmonkey wasn't along so i kept all my money but i think he smells the red tag sale.

Did anyone else see this article in the Bass Mag ? The dominating lure in the Elite Sereis wins were the Jig-35.7%, Tubes-14.3%, Soft Stickbaits-14.3%, Creature Baits-21.4%, and other plastics 14.3%. I'm not suprised at all that jigs were number one, as Edwin Evers said in the article "look at the tournament records over the years "jigs are big fish baits". After reading this article i went and looked through my tackle and have more jigs and soft plastics than hardbaits which didnt' suprise me since my "goto" bait is ususally a texas-rigged plastic. Wondering if anyone else is a plastic junkie i hear about "senkos" all the time on this board , but have yet to use one!! -Matt

I'm right there with ya KU i have spring fever and there's ice on everything that i fish, i dunno if it's safe ice maybe i'll find out this weekend. I've went through my fishing equipment every weekend i think, and seeing the pictures of fish other members have caught this year already just make it worse. Our time will come ...................very shortly i hope. And yea winter is here i've been working outside for the past 3 days it'll take 3 weeks to thaw my toes out :'(. -Matt

I borrowed one of my dad's All-star rods and loved it i still have it it's a spinning rod 6'6" magnum spin. I have to give it back someday he said, maybe after this years fishing season or the next :.

Got an announcement in the mail about these new rods? I have never heard of them the little paper says that they are the best money can buy each is 40.00 and when you buy one you get one free what a joke. Just wondering if anyone has used one of these rods? Looks like some wal-mart special to me? Matt

Hey KU are you talking about putting them in a pot of boiling water ? If so i dunno that might make them too soft and stick to each other and end up in a big mess. How about boiling some water and dipping them in till they loosen up and straighten out ? If u don't want to mess with the crocked ones just ship e to me ;D. Matt

Hey thanks for all the help i've been kinda nervous but got a list of things to check out on the boat when i go down to check it out. The boat has been used in the past year he recently got a new one. I will keep everyone up to date on how everything is going and hopefully have pictures to post before too long. I can see PETA buying a few of those and causing trouble at tournaments. Maybe that's the new Aqua view camera that you can ride in and see fish up close and personal ?

Those are some very nice looking walleyes great work. Have you been catching all your fish in the current or around bridge pilings or in the backwater areas?

Hey nice video, i think i would have fell into the water though walking around the rim of a boat like that. What kind of shark did you catch ?
