The holes were 150-200 yards or so from the water. Also some of them with water had bubbles coming up so i'm thinking maybe there's an underground spring? I still act like a little kid sometimes and had to step in one and sank up to my knee!!

The lakes here in Kansas are down some around 10 feet and more. I went walking out on a big flat the other day and noticed all these "holes" some with water some without ? I have no idea what caused these or what they are? My roomate went along and he thought crawdads but i didnt' think so they range from 6 inches to 3 feet across!! Anyone have any ideas ?

It was 75 yesterday and today feels like 30 with a 40 mph wind. !!!

I've caught some nice crappies with crankbaits fishing deep water structure during the summer months. Caught some of my best bass and crappie that way preferrably a light brown/ orange crawdad color.

Maybe you could use some fluorescent lights above your bench i've never seen anyone tie jigs in the dark ;D ;D ;D

I had one then the girlfreind stuck it in her ear thinking it was a really nifty earing i had to dig the hooks out of her hair when they got tangled up.

Most of the time i will try to skip a bait or side cast it rather than pitch or flip with spinning gear. Also i tried skipping with baitcasting gear and most the time end up with a proffesional overcast, but i think i'm excellent at flipping and pitching.

Way to go glad to hear you got him . He looks bigger in the back of the truck than in the pictures i'd be interested in what he scores. Looks like he still has all his points i imagine he might have broke off a few during the rut.

I'm looking at 2 different boats one has a 93' 150 evinrude that the guy says it runs great ( i want a test run to prove it) also he says it has "hyper trim" i'm not sure what that is? The other is a 91 Johnson GT 150. Rebuilt power head, new power tilt/trim, 4 blade SS prop. Again i am wanting a test run in both before a decision is made? And to check for cracks and other details? Is there anything else i am missing that i need to check on ?

Has anyone installed their own onboard charger? I am looing at a boat and thought maybe an onboard charger would be a good investment. Has anyone had any problems with one? Also for those who own stratos boats i'm looking at 2 one is a 96 with a johnson 150 and the other a 93 with a evinrude 150 both bout the same price and same distance away. I was wondering how stratos owners like the boats and what might be some things on the down side if any? Any help or comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Went fishing today 10-1-06 caught a walleye figured i would have a nice meal cleaned the fish and found eggs inside! Has anyone else seen this ? Can walleyes spawn twice? I finally got a digital camera i love it just having a hard time learning all the functions.

I have got snagged on a branch or in the rocks and my lure has floated to the surface. If i'm bank fishing and see the lure i usually end up wading or swimming to it.

Wow wish i had a yard with a pond (even one acre) and a stream that would be awesome !! ;D

Well in my experiences on a cloudy day fish will tend to wander or cruise the water if it's cloudy they won't be stuck right next to the structure but should be in the area. When did u pre-fish ? if you stuck all your fish maybe the got smart or were sore from being caught? Just a few ideas.

I'd ask him if he's ready to retire cause i'm ready to take his place and catch them big ones! Actually i'd like to shake his hand get his autograph and let him know how much i enjoy his show.

Maybe some kind of worm or parasite ? One fish for the whole family must have been a WHOOPER.

The fish will possibly be scattered the water will be extremely dirty probably so fish will be tight to cover. Try throwing spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, anything that makes noise or sends out a vibration through the water to attract fish. I would add some rattles to your soft plastics. Watch out for floating debris if your in a boat. Good luck to ya. P.S. send some rain down here to Kansas we could use the moisture especially western Kansas.

If the lake does get some water in it that would be a great place to hunt ducks they would love all those weeds. That's if they allow hunting.

My best offer is a c-rig or texas rigged plastic, crainkbaits, and i've even used tubes with 1/2-3/4 ounce head bounced around structure. Try adding some scent and hold on sometimes that "log" u think you snagged starts moving ;D.

Foul hook to me would be the hooking of a fish in any part of its body other than inside its mouth.

Have you tried Night Fishing for the Bass? When fishing shallow water during the summer months try to have deep water nearby with structure if possible that might hold the fish during the heat of the day. Something else that works for me is fish the shady parts of a lake under docks, under hanging trees, and in and around weeds where the water can be cooler.

I usually go rummage through the snacks grab a candy bar or granola bar. If i'm not catching fish i ask myself what am i doing wrong if the presentation i am using has worked before i'd change it up a little maybe use a smaller worm or a bigger crainkbait, or even use scent. If i'm at a new lake and not catching anything I will go look for a different area to fish.
