  1. I was wondering how the fishermen on this site broke down lake maps? I use a number and highlighter system to try and eliminate water. I have four lake maps all the someone for each season. I mark water depths I think will be productive an then rate the cover in that area with a number so if I get on a color an number an catch fish I can duplicate it on the rest of the lake. How do you do it ?is there a better system? How many just go fishing?

Being from Alabama I never have to stop some times i'll have to wrap an electric blanket around the foot of my boat to keep it from freezing after a trip but I just keep on fishing rain no snow or freezing rain can keep me off the water one time the ramp was frozen couldn't get the boat out of the water till I salted it

  6. Even David Fritts will tell you that crankbaits are numbers baits not size.that's why I use them alot . when I go hog hunting I use 1/2 ounce jigs .when the grass gets right I use paddle tails get good quality bites but its real conditional on my home lake guntersville
  7. Your gonna laugh at me when tell you its a xr100 one knocker your thinking one oz in that depth water seems big but the larger bait bigger profile actually doesn't run much deeper than the 3/4 oz version it has a little more bouyance sounds crazy but it works for me
  8. River to sea 1 1/2 oz sexy shad they have lots of colors pick what you like I use them all
  9. Its great on a c-rig telagrapghs the bottom do use a mono leader from the swivel to the bait

  12. What do you do when there's bait every where you go but no active fish? This is the most puzzling thing about fall fishing

Road beds 10 foot water rapala dt 10 hot mustard I'd start on some stumps out of yellow creek in the morning then move to the road beds in that area but becareful running around during draw down less you got good insurance it could get expensive if that don't work black blue mylar jig on rocks round railroad bed should get you close
  15. The temp rising should stall the shad for a few Days so should the bass they will probly move deep in the middle of the say but morning an evening should still be good

I believe in 4.7 to 1 I have three I use daily its so much easier to crank all day and you can always turn the handle a little faster if you need to .most people fish crankbaits way to fast most of my bites come on a slow retrieve. Its easier to speed up with lower gear than it is to slow down with higher gear
  18. Bps pro qualifier. Best reel for 99$ got a half dozen been using 150 or so days a year still performing great
  19. Have you loosed your spool tension off? Cleaned mine last week andhad same. Issue I guess the grease tightend it up backed it off an reset it cured my problems.
  20. I agree with WRB try cotton Cordell spoon small version cast at the action see if they hit it on the fall if not jerk it a couple time no takers reel it in do it all over again always works for me

  22. I was using a c-rig got hung on a stump popped it loose and hung a crankbait caught a 3 pounder will reeling it all in

  25. Tried it with very little money last year made it 157 days before I had to go back to work never got bored or tired. Got divorced. So i just carried my 4year old son with me it never got old I could do it at least 14hrs a day forever nothing better than watching the sun rise on the water over the mountains . Its heaven on earth
