  1. What colors you liking in the RC Stix baits?
  2. No you don't you enjoy the waiting.... See what I did there, it's that whole Jedi mind trick thing.
  3. For me it is predictability, I know that this bait will always behave in this manner on this line in this condition exactly like this and that has caught me many fish. I am confident in the LC RC 1.5 crankbait, I am confident in the LC SP 100 jerkbait, and I am confident in the Gary Yamamoto Senko.
  4. Well his last name was Stoner...... Just Sayin
  5. I have that rod, a Gen 1 in a Veritas. It feels more like a medium power rod compared to several others that I own. I prefer the St. Croix ML power to this one.
  6. I read your post earlier and have been thinking about it. While I can't narrow it down to just one the three that I am torn between are 1. Led Zeppelin IV 2. AC/DC Back in Black 3. Metallica The Black Album There are some other very good ones out there that I had to eliminate, and at a close number 4 was KISS Double Platinum, 5.U2 the Joshua Tree. Anyway......
  7. Probably the biggest differences between the President and the Supreme are the Supreme come with an extra spool, uses a magnesium frame, and a titanium line roller. I am sure there are other differences but these stand out.
  8. By most accounts RC was a little out there.
  9. I was checking out their website after making a recommendation for this bait. What I found on their site was interesting in that most of the craw tube choices showed sold out. Not sure what is going on. I hope they don't stop making the bait, but I have enough to get by for quite a while if they do.
  10. When you have a whole set of golf clubs, it makes it hard to only take the 5 iron.
  11. Things will change as the water warms. Baits that suspended well in colder water will start to sink in the warmer water and you will need to adjust, use smaller, lighter hooks, use mono line, or increase the diameter of the line if already using mono. Use a different bait altogether, some baits suspend better in warmer water than others. You will have to tune your baits to the water temp and how you want their stance and suspension properties to be. Fish become more active in warmer water and you may have to adjust your cadence to a slightly faster one, lessen the time the bait is paused, you will need to make adjustments. If you get the chance read some articles and interviews with Mike McClelland, he is an excellent jerkbait fisherman and always shares some good information.
  12. 10lb or less Mono or FC depending on what the bait fish are doing and what type of jerkbait I am using.
  13. Many of the people I know that use the Hard Head or the MESU equiv. fish them with a steady retrieve just off the bottom, bumping rocks, wood and anything else in it's path. If fished like this, I prefer a MH/F rod somewhere around 7ft. A softer rod makes it more difficult to use this method.
  14. I don't think I would rather have any other spinning reel at the 100 dollar price.
  15. I see where your confused, Basshunters post was a reply to me, after I had recommended the McStick as a good jerkbait in the 10 dollar range. You replied to Basshunter and indirectly to me saying that they were also 14.99. My reply was then to you saying that they could be had for 11.50. I meant nothing negative about my BPS reply, I just know that you have one near you in Olathe and they were the only place on-line that I seen selling them for 14.99. They can be had most places including Mondo tackle for 11.49 regular price not discount. Gander Mountain however does have them on sale for 8 dollars.
  16. You made the post saying that my recommendation was not relevant because the bait was 14.99. Evidently you made no effort to find out that they can be had for at many places for much less. I didn't want to make it really bad and tell you that Gander Mountain has them on sale for 8. Bass Pro is about the only place I know of that charges as much as 14.99 for them.
  17. Back when the Mojo rods were first released I purchased a couple based on cost and build quality. I was disappointed when I began using them, they felt heavy and did not transmit vibration well. I used them for a short while for moving baits and they were fine for those techniques. One of my least favorite rods from St. Croix. If you have a Gander Mountain close check their closeout rack, our GM here has the Rage rod for 99, it has a much better blank is much lighter and IMO a better rod overall. Some will criticize the use of SS guides on the Rage rods, in my hands using a mixture of line, I have had no problems. my .02
  18. Good looking fish
  19. You need civil disagreement to prevent things like the Abilene Paradox and Groupthink, the key word here is Civil. Once it becomes an argument neither side hears the other and begin to think more about how they are going to respond than digesting what was said.
  20. It happens, look around where you took the reel apart, you might get lucky and they will be laying right there.
  21. Part numbers 2122 and 2123 if you have a schematic.
