The Met and Antares go way back, they were originally JDM reels. I guess it just depends on how you want to look at it now, they are either USDM reels or JDM reels being sold in the USDM.

l thought they still did for the USDM reels.

Man that's crazy, don't blame you for not wanting to use them on your other rods. I have not had the same experience, I wonder if the ones you used use a stronger chemical or something. Anyway, thanks for sharing, kind of makes me rethink the way I have been cleaning my rods.

Looks like everything is as it should be minus the two small parts that were previously mentioned. Order those parts, or borrow them from another reel to test. But from what I can see in the pictures, if you add those parts your good to go.

They will fit, as mentioned, remove the center cap, you can use a bent paper clip for this, remove the screw and they will come off the shaft.

I always liked the Citica E, it performed very close to the Curado for quite a bit less money. I use to replace the bushing under the crankshaft with a bearing and change the dartanium drag washers to carbontex and it made for a very nice reel. I preferred the E to the G, but it was just a difference in how one palmed over the other.

I missed out on that deal, they also had the Supreme for 60 I believe.
