Chronarch 50E Or Tatula R
How far are you trying to cast? I've hit 100-110 ft with 1/4 oz plug which I measured out with a line counter with a curado 50. I don't think the type r has been out long enough.

Chronarch Ch200E7 Or Ci4+
Chill out dude, I was going by what Shimanos website says, and yeah, I go by my own findings if I can, hence I'm going to check once my metanium comes in today.

Chronarch Ch200E7 Or Ci4+
If you are open to it you can get a 13 metanium for about 300 shipped. Micro module, magnesium frame and handle plate, x ship, 6 pin svs. But if you are dead set on one of the chronarchs then the ci4 all day. Its shimano Americas latest technology. X ship, svs infinity with external adjustment. I have a citica E which is a nice workhorse reel but it doesn't really stand out in any way. All my other reels outcast it and are smoother. I don't imagine the chronarch e would be that much better than the citica e.

New Forum
A new forum couldn't hurt. Shimano, Daiwa, and Abu have brought over some of their JDM models.. time will tell if there is a market here strong enough for them to keep selling them here. Its not looking good for Daiwa though as they are discontinuing the Z200 here and looks like all the T3 models are on sale.

Daiwa T3 Ballistic
They certainly have their brand preferences (and more than a few of their reviews show it) at TT but I figure they are allowed since they purchase most of the tackle with their own money. But yeah some of the reviews leave a little to be desired but keep in mind that it is one guys opinion of the reel/rod, etc...so that's what they are going to write about. But for the most part I love TT, an awesome site with great articles.

If I can swap them out, anyone can swap them out lol.. each knob comes with 2 bearings, I think extra bushings and extra washers. If I recall they also come with a little end cap remover and instructions

Lol yeah but look at it this way, price some bassarts, zpi, etc... Which can run you 40 and up per knob! The quality is superb and they come with 2 bearings per knob, DRESS makes top notch stuff and pretty innovative. I'll post my scorpion DC with the detonator handle later.

I think they are really comfortable. Not quite as comfy as the original septons since they are a hard resin material but the shape works for me. Pretty cheap too at around 20 per knob. They also come in black and silver aluminum.

Its like a buggy whip lol.. looks to be a slow to moderate tip, which takes some getting used to after using mostly fast and xfast tapers. I have the 2 piece, I do plan to get a couple more as they are pretty affordable compared to most JDM rods. Its rated 1/32 to 1/4th. 1/32 is pushing it, you kind of have to take long deliberate swings to get any kind of accuracy with that weight but distance might be 15-20ft tops. You can get the 2 piece for just under 200 shipped from rakuten market.

In my hands the Core50 is pretty much set and forget but the Aldebaran BFS is way more temperamental lol.. 2 brakes on with 1\16th oz equals backlashes for me. Oddly I get more distance with lures under 1/8th with 3-4 brakes on instead of 2. Still super fun to fish with, hope you get to take her out soon!

Nice acquisitions... what rod are you going to put the BFS on? I alternate mine between a Major Craft Volkey UL and a Poison Adrena BFS.. its a super fun reel for sure

- Furthest Casting Low Profile Reel?
Theres a Youtube video of a guy pendulum casting a Conquest DC 130 meters (422 feet). Shimano positions the Calais DC above the Conquest DC with a more advanced DC unit. Im sure the Calais DC could equal that.- Show off your Stuff
- Starting To Look At "finese" Baitcasters......
The only customs fees I had to pay were for the Poison Adrena 1 piece rod, I don't know if it was because it was because of the size being one piece, or if it was because it was shipped by Fed Ex. My 2 piece rods and reels usually shipped EMS and I didn't have to pay a customs fee. Don't be afraid to order from Japan. Most stores on Rakuten take Paypal. As far as your choices, from reading peoples reviews, you can stick a Yumeya BFS spool in your Core50s and outperform the Pixy. You can find Pixys for under 350 all day on Rakuten, LTXs for around 280, and the Aldebaran BFS for about 320 depending on the exchange rate. Read this guys blog for more info http://lurerstyle.blogspot.com/ also there are several threads on finesse baitcasters on Tackle Tour. - Furthest Casting Low Profile Reel?
