  1. I got mine from Japan for around $225 shipped.
  2. Seeing as you can get an aldebaran 50 for under 300 new in Japan I'd get the antares
  3. My revo elite 8 has a very unrefined thumbar as well.
  4. Love that combo! My XG Limited is on the shelf awaiting it's bfs rod to come in from Japan.
  5. Nothing currently from Shimano or Yumeya, you might be SOL on a spool. You may have to search for a Calais 200ASV
  6. There's a Walmart near me that has a Curado e and citica e in the display shelf. Still at msrp though
  7. Performance is great but they definitely need more refinement. My revo elite 8 is darn near unbacklashable but the thumbar is very hard to engage.
  8. Try to clean and lightly re oil the brake race before you sell it. Just remember that too much oil will cause backlashes
  9. Yep Metanium XG, 36.5 ipt if I recall
  10. I just assembled this exact same combo last week and it feels pretty great and looks great too. I fished 10 inch worms with it yesterday and also plan on using it for frogs too. That Zodias is super light for a heavy and with its high power x blank you should be able to launch frogs a long way with the Chronarch.
  11. Sounds a little light for that line.. Is it loading up on the rod?
  12. What weights are you throwing? The lighter spool doesn't equate to the backlashes. Also make sure the brake race isn't too heavily oiled. Clean it off the apply a drop or 2 of the oil then spread it around with a qtip.
  13. That must have been a long time ago because I've heard there were quantums from way back that were made in Japan by ryobi. But by looking at the links of the 2 reels I posted you can't deny those are twins to a couple of quantum reels sold here.
  14. Does this reel look familiar? http://banaxtackleshop.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=17&product_id=188 or how about this one? http://banaxtackleshop.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=17&product_id=184 I'm not hating on Quantum because Ive never owned one, but they do not have their own manufacturing plant in Korea or China that says "Quantum" outside. They may have a contract with the manufacturing company that only allows them to use certain technologies( like the external braking or the new short spool shaft, or flipping switch, etc..) within the umbrella(which may explain why the other companies don't have externally adjustable centrifugal brakes and more than likely wont have them until the agreement or contract expires for that particular tech) of companies using the manufacturer. Like *** I'm sure they have a lot of control in certain design elements etc.
  15. So you are saying Quantum has their own manufacturing facility and do their own r & d? Like shimano and daiwa but In Korea?
  16. The new Scorpion has 1 bearing and 1 bushing per knob.
  17. The bearings and the knobs. The Scorpion has better bearings and smaller knobs so its slightly lighter.
  18. Actually you don't have to call, you just add them to your cart and when you pay the discount shows up.
  19. I've never owned a banax made reel so I couldn't tell you. I hear mixed reviews though.
  20. That's a Banax reel. Same company that makes quantums, okumas, ***, etc.
  21. Last year TT had a "Glide Week" series of articles where they fished and reviewed a lot of the baits you have, Id go check out the rods they used.
  22. Performance wise the citica g is no joke. It can straight up bomb lures. It compares favorably to my tat r for casting.
