A Question To Shimano Fans
Shimano losing market share? According to whom? There was an article in Bassmaster magazine that stated shimano was the top selling reel brand in 2014.

A Question To Shimano Fans
I'm pretty sure he woke up from his dream after that lol

Second Time Flourocarbon User
I find that the heavier the fluorocarbon the harder it is to tame and you need a reel with an exceptional braking system. In my experience, anything over 10 lbs will be less manageable.

Aarons Edge Enigma
That's why he was using shimano reels long before he was sponsored lol... but yeah, you can watch tournament footage and see he is actually using these rods. I believe they just came out with a brand new model as well, the phenom titanium which has a much better looking foregrip

Get the cheapest one with the ACB system (the external adjustable centrifugal brakes)

Is The Metanium The Same Sz As The Curado?
No, those sizes are referring to the spool. The curado is smaller but the metanium and chronarch palm better in my opinion.

Diawa Sv 105 Opinions
I was not impressed with the distance casting capabilities of my SS SV for weights higher than 1/4 oz. Not sure how the Alphas SV is going to fare much better, which is why I haven't bought one.

Upgrade A Ch50E Vs Buying A Bfs Reel
I think in theory yes, the lighter the spool the easier the start up, but you have to take into account that a small lure is not going to travel as far so will spend less time in the air so you need more brake to slow the spool down sooner.

Project T 2016
There was no project z. It was simply project t 2014 for the zillion. T stands for the T wing system. There's already a 2 week old thread about this over on TT lol. The leak came from a JDM fishing blog site.

It's supposed to be a new Steez with TWS

Upgrade A Ch50E Vs Buying A Bfs Reel
Contrary to what some may believe, throwing really light lures requires a lot of braking. I learned this through 2 years of hardcore bfs fishing. I mistakenly thought that you need the least amount of brakes to get the best distance. This only led to bad backlashes on every cast. Once I learned to turn up the brakes the backlashes stopped and the distance was much better.

Upgrade A Ch50E Vs Buying A Bfs Reel
The stock 50 can do 1/8 decently with the right rod. If you want to go lower all you need is a shallow spool, the bearings and super tuning aren't necessary. Avail and zpi make really shallow spools for the 50 e platform.

Baitcasting 101
Start out with a solid entry level reel with external brakes like a citica or tatula. That way if you find out you don't like it you didn't spend a ton of money and should have no problem selling it.

Clean That New Reel.
What reel did you get?

What Is 'super Tuning' A Reel?
Swapping out the spool to a lighter one is a tuning move as well

Major Craft Iovino Finesse Rod
Where are they selling the msx, speedstyle and corzza at here in the states?
-
Shimano Vs Daiwa
I have the curado I and the Tatula r. The curado casts farther and is smoother under load. Also palms better for me. That's doesn't mean the Tatula is a bad reel, far from it. It's just the curado is a little better.

Shimano Metanium Set Up Questions
The whites provide less braking friction and longer casts. I would go with the factory set up of 2 on and 1 on the dial. Then adjust the dial as needed.
