  1. Yeah that's what Bantam1 said on Tt if I recall.
  2. Sweet combos.. I just got a Zodias 7'2H and have the Chronarch mounted on it, going to use it for 10 inch Jackal Flickshakes and see how it goes.
  3. Cant go wrong with either but the Crucial has more tapers available while the Zodias are all fast to make them more versatile. The Zodias does have the hi power cross wrapped blank though. I do like the thicker handle on the crucial.
  4. What length are you wanting and what are you wanting to spend? You want carbon fiber or metal?
  5. The curado I PG. The xship makes it ridiculously smooth and powerful under load.
  6. If you are throwing the same light lures on your SX as your MGX realize that the MGX spool is significantly lighter, 10 grams vs about 15 grams. Centrifugal brakes are more forgiving and also the line may play a role.
  7. The xg has a 96mm handle and the others have 84mm. JapaN lists half the handle length
  8. TW has them both for their demo program, you could try that route. I have both but I rarely jig fish. One thing to think about is that the handle side plate on the Met is magnesium instead of CI4 like the Aldebaran.
  9. Better late than never... Chronarch CI4, the best looking reel available IMO.
  10. I wonder what the difference is between the drag stars? The look identical in size and shape.
  11. The hedgehog studios knob will fit. Not sure where you saw it wouldnt. Looks 10x better as well
  12. All my high end ABUs have a noisier geary retrieve compared to my other brands.
  13. Don't listen to the haters of the G series, most of them haven't fished the G series and just parrot what they heard from other people who haven't fished them. I have the Citica G and its a sleeper. Its got a pretty light spool at 14 grams so its a casting machine. Performance wise you wont see a difference between the two. Ergonomics might be a deciding factor so Id go handle them both if you can. Or... shop around and pick up a Citica I on the bay.
  14. Get a finesse spool for it. Its got the best braking system that Daiwa has to offer.
  15. I've only thrown shimano Cardiff jerk baits designed for trout a couple of times. They were rated at 3.5 and 4.5 grams. To be honest I've not fished it much because I have so many reels it's hard to give attention to just one. I will be using it a lot more come winter and fall for trout.
  16. It definitely casts light lures a little better than the standard bfs xg. It's on a volkey 6'9 UL. I plan on getting a trout rod for it.
  17. Not a lot of USDM choices when it comes to BFS rods. I heard major craft is bringing their corzza line here with some bfs models
  18. What kind of weight are you going to be throwing?
  19. Plat.co.jp is a good place, shipping a 1 piece rod will run about 65 plus maybe 15 or so in customs fees. There's other reputable jdm sites as well. You just have to shop around. It may run a little over your budget total but the Adrena ticks all the boxes that you want.
  20. Its actually a reel for targeting sea bass so its saltwater safe. Its super smooth, casts really far with minimal backlash. Think of a murdered out Chronarch D with DC brakes(2nd best DC brakes IMO) X-Ship, and a high gear ratio. Its got a special night time brake setting where you don't even have to thumb the spool on touch down since you cant see the lure hit the water. A lot of guys on TT use it for Frogging. It is heavier than most reels these days at 8.5 oz but the weight doesn't bother me. For what they can be had for now its the best reel value bar NONE.
  21. Designed by Lew, manufactured by shimano. These new lews are manufactured by doyo using their technology.
  22. His vid had some misinfo but I was entertained lol. You can't deny his experiences with both reels though.
  23. You can find the Citica I for 118 on ebay
