Sometimes. Most reels its not real tight, but just a bit of slack.

I use straight braid for jig/punch. If you need a leader, you can always tie a leader. A good M/H or H rod will work either way.

I pack my AR with grease, not oil. Its like wheel bearings, pin stylegrease only.

Use the holes in the spool like an eyelet

Tie the line to the spool and real it in. Always works for me.

Well said. This is what I will do if the braid lasts more than 2 years of use. If I have to cut too much off do to abrasion/re-tie, I will just respool, otherwise I will reverse it.

It was a tought day. The wind was a bit nutz in the open areas. Once we floated past the main opening from the ramp canal, I had a 5er blow up on my Humpin Toad. After that it was solid 2-3lbers off the frogs and EZs. Was OK for the weather conditions.

What do you S FL guys think about the cold weather we got now? Going to LOX tomorrow, and am wondering how the weather is going to affect the fish. I know they are spawning now, gonna get into the flats. Im thinking the high 60's may help. What do you guys think about the afternoon trip?
