  1. Nothing wrong with it, but its a mag only brake reel. You are better off with cent brakes.
  2. Yes I have issues, but thats a completely different topic on its own, lol. An oz and there is nothing. I can say balancing is a plus, but once you add the line and lure, that pretty much goes out the window. Just fish what feels good in your hands. Yes, a Shimano feels better in my hands.
  3. Another vote for the Curado/Cumara combo. Gonna be the best $260 you ever spent.
  4. The weight does nothing for me, due to an ounce here or there does not make me not buy a rod because Im not weak enough to care. Its the feel and performance.
  5. Also, as reply, dont think high end equipment isnt "broken in" before its given to consumers, because it is. For what it would take for a fishing reel, its not the same for high end equipment, to be put through what they do to engines and such is not feasable.
  6. Actually, if you knew anything about mechanics, a proper break in period is nescessary for high performance mechanical equipment. The best engines or mechanical equipment require this for proper use. You may not expect this in a reel, but when you have tight tolerence, it is a given. Like stated, a Wilson Combat handgun is very hard to "rack" when brand new not because its "junk", but because its very "tight" in tolerence when new. There is a reason they are the best in equipment. Say what you will, but I will take something with a "grace" break in and overall lifetime smoothness over a "counter smoothness" anytime.
  7. 7` MH fast or extra fast is good.
  8. Go with what ARV has for sale. Hes got some nice Shimanos. Thats the right stuff there.
  9. Its called tighter tolerances, once broken in, they are buttery smooth without the need of worthless extra bearings. You can call it what you will, they still outlast Pure Fishing products. You can compare it like Wilson Combat handguns to a Baretta.
  10. Looks like its the same rod except for the reel seat area is now more open.
  11. Buy the tool. Dont take chances. Or send it to a pro.
  12. thats funny right there.
  13. you should come down to Florida and see all the "bucket and cane pole" fisheman we have here. Its fun when you fish next to them and you catch more bass in 5 minutes than they catch for the hour they say they were sitting there. Then they say "you gonna throw that back?", then I say "you got a fishing license?". Its always "no". Then I tell them to get one and do some real fishing and you might get some your own. Its mean, but I get sick of them crying and asking for handouts. Too cheap to spend the $15 dollars to be able to use real equipment to catch fish.
  14. Anybody else get a kick out of the dentist? LOL.
  15. No allergy, its like how some people dont like the feel of cotton balls. I cant touch cork without a weird feeling.
  16. I like using a spook on windy choppy days. Also a spinnerbait across the surface with the blades popping the surface.
  17. I bank fish too. I have a few Berkley Lightning Shock rods that are awesome. 6'6 MH, very sensative and strong. I dont use them anymore due to I have an issue with cork that I cant touch it without giving me the willys. PM me if interested, Im about giving them away.
  18. I use a Curado 200E7, 65# braid, and a 7'6 Shimano Sellus Flipping stick.
