  1. Ive always used the clinch knot for all my mono/fluoro knots. Never has failed. I dont retie either, unless I have damaged line.
  2. You werent fishing the Royal Palm canal in Springs today in a Jon boat were you?
  3. Well the one bearing in the knob is the only thing that seperates the E and the G. That explains it, well my 50E has 2 bearings in each knob now, so I have 9 total. Going to be that way hopefully with the rest of my Shimanos soon anyway.
  4. You can do it yourself by following the schematics and being very carefull to place the parts on a towel the way you took them off and follow manufacturers suggestions. Or you can send it to DVT.
  5. I have a bunch of these rods. I use one for my 50E with 12# YoZuri. No problem with throwing any type of bait. Strong as he!!, and great sensitivity. The best rod for the $ in my opinion.
  6. Thanks J. I guess the only difference is the fact that it doesnt have the bearings in the knobs. Not that big of a deal then.
  7. Where are the bearings that are in the new Curado G located? I know its got to be 2 for the spool, but what are the others? Where you at Bantam?
  8. Its great on salad! I use it on the reel to clean it after I use it, and the line on the spool the night before, and just before the first cast. Also, its good on the guides every once and a while. It cleans, protects, and allows the line to be smoother off the spool.
  9. Fishing the FireFighter tournament on July 11, me and my partner looking for some insight. Anybody been out there lately? Looking for some advice. Good spots? What lures have been producing out there? Whatever you guys got will be much appreciated. Ive been doing a lot of research, and I want to get some live feed as well. Thanks guys.
  10. Sometimes it does help to bring down the population of the fish to prevent an overrun of smaller fish. "Only the strong survive".
  11. Its not that 30 lb wont cut it, its more that it is really thin, and the thicker braid is more manageable to use.
  12. Good stuff Mike. Congrats to the kid!
  13. I love turtles! They make great soup!
  14. The best kind of boat to have to reach those impossible areas. Many good times to you and the new floatation device.
  15. d**n, that 8 lber was a big girl. Good catch! Where you end up pulling them from? Looks like Atlantic by the Turnpike.
  16. It happens. Spool 1/3 with mono, then fill the rest with braid. Helps to keep the line from slipping, plus you dont waste expensive braided line.
  17. A nice M action Compre rod. Sweetness, plus it matches the brand, lol.
  18. Ive always considered myself as a Sith.
  19. I use a MH 7ft Lightning Shock rod, and a Curado E7, 65# Spiderwire. Im not a avid hollow frog tosser, so I will use the same setup to cast soft plastics into heavy areas. I seem to get more fish working a big lizard through the pads than I do the hollow frogs.
  20. Take video of their cruelty to animals, and send it to fish and game, haha.
  21. All year long. Favorite bait.
