  1. Another vote for YoZuri. Hooked on this stuff.
  2. Mono line. Need a little bit of slack in the line as you jerk the rod to give it the walk action. Go on YouTube for a video. You cant explain it in words.
  3. The one that starts with an "S" and ends in "O" is the brand that will give you all you are looking for.
  4. I would search around for a Curado E series reel. No doubt the best of the best. I recently sold all my other reels that consisted of Revos, BPS reels, and Diawas, and kept my Shimanos.
  5. After fishing with baitcasters, its like you have no control of what you are doing.
  6. Its tough for getting the Snakeheads to bite right now since they are spawning. They are not as aggressive as usual. The best way to get them is looking along the edge of the watrr for the ball of fry to come up for air. Dont get too close or they can see you. Cast past the fry and reel into it. Once by it, slow down and jig the lure around. You basically have to get them mad. Once you get used to fishing them, you get used to looking for the white mouth through the water to spot the head and dropping the lure right on top of them.
  7. Ive got 2 of these things, both Worm and Jig. One has my Curado 200E7 on it with 65# braid, the other has my Chronarch 200E7 with 20# Yozuri on it. When I get my Chronarch 50E, I will put that to a Sellus as well. Im satisfied with the sensitivity and handling of this rod, and I used to use the Lightning Shocks, which are now backups(but still a great rod).
  8. If your new to the sport then it will be a good starter baitcaster compared to the junk you get a Wallyworld. Dont expect this thing to stay smooth for too long. If you want longevity, well then you might want to look for something which starts with an "S".
  9. Ive had knots tied for months with no problem. The only way I will retie is if the line is damaged. I have never had a knot break on me. My knots are always tight and perfect, if not then I will tied it again before I cast it.
  10. J, did I ever tell you that you suck, LOL. Rub it in why dont ya. Just send one to me, that way we both have 2 and I will call it even
  11. I agree with J and yourself, get the Chronarch. I just picked one up and love it. Only advice would be to get the E7.
  12. I texas rig with a 3/0 widegap hook, and a 1/32 to 1/8 oz weight depending on depth/action wanted.
  13. thank you sir
  14. Just looked up this said Buff. I think I will be placing an order for one soon. Where is the LM Bass one though, did not see one?
  15. They make the Sellus for Froggin, Worm and Jig, Topwater, Cranking, and Spinnerbait. I have the Topwater, Worm and Jig, and Froggin. I like them.
  16. ^ Is he going to get yelled at for not posting in the introductions section? ^
  17. You have been redeemed my friend, LOL
  18. Wasnt it made by the people that produced the Jeresy Shore?
  19. I have used the Lightning Shocks, but lately been using the Shimano Sellus rods. To be honest they are not that bad, I rather like the way they feel. I have one for my Curado 200E7 that has braid, and one for my Chronarch 200E7 that has Yozuri.
  20. Though not a true fluoro, but handles just as good, YoZuri is hard to beat. This stuff is tough! I use 12# on my 50E, and it holds up to snakeheads taking me under heavy cover and death rolling it around their bodies.
  21. First off, if your gonna use a backing, dont use Yozuri. If you purchase YoZuri, you might as well spool your whole reel with it because that stuff is the best thing since sliced bread. Go get yourself some cheap junk mono or something. Secondly, if your reel will only hold say 80 yds of 17# fluoro, you might as well spool it straight.
