  1. I dont think it makes much of a difference on the color of the line. I use clear YoZuri, and green 65# Spiderwire. The water is clear and merkey depending on where I fish, but either way the fish still bite.
  2. Check out the knot wars app for a smart phone.
  3. Its real. Its not free. I am a life membet. You have to pay to be a member.
  4. If your gonna get a Curado, get the E series, or and E series Citica, or even better an E series Chronarch. Everybody is Lews Lews Lews, just remember, its not the # of bearings, its the placement, and quality. Shimano is a proven product, see you in 20 years when Im still casting my E series.
  5. 12# Yozuri, its cheap and strong as holy he!!
  6. Zara Spook, Chug Bug, Frogs-hollow and plastic.
  7. I just use a 3/0 EWG Magna BPS hook.
  8. pretty close, minor differences.
  9. Shimano Citica, Shimano Sellus rod, Yozuri 12# line.
  10. I think you got it down pat. The only thing I would change would be to use a Crucial rod for them.
  11. Most likely its going to be Oct 20.
  12. I have 1 combo I use more than others for around town canal fishing. My Curado 50E on a M Shimano Clarus rod and 12# YoZuri. Light enough to be good and whippy for small fish, strong enough to handle big bass and snakeheads.
  13. Under $100, no. I agree to get the Citica. Match it with a MH Jig and Worm Shimano Sellus rod and you will be good to go. And dont forget the YoZuri.
  14. Ok, we have got our chapter for the tourney. Now that we have who we are donating the money to, we are moving forward. Just keeping up for all that are still interested, wd are gonna do $20 per person preregister, $25 day of. And $10 50/50 pot for big bass, 1 fish must be alive.
  15. DVT. Im going to send hime my Citica when I get the money to do a super tune.
  16. Shimano, Shimano, Shimano. Go for the Chronarch, very sweet! Just picked one up myself. Im sure J is gonna get on this and show his picture of his 3 he has. The nerve he wont give me one, haha.
  17. lets see what happens after 5 years when the Shimanos are still reeling and the Lews are scrapped. J/K, Ive heard very good reviews of Lews, and I want to see how they hold up to the test of time.
  18. Yeah, the model you looked at was the G series Curado. Do some research and get an E series and save yourself the trouble of making a mistake with any other reel, unless its a Chronarch E.
  19. I just use a 3/0 EWG magna from BPS. When I hook through the head of the frog I go shallow at first so if the fish rips it I can just go deeper the second time. If I can get a third or more out of it, then it was a good bait. My frogs are usually BPS or Zoom.
  20. I usually use something with a clear white color, with maybe some orange or red on it for effect. Never fails.
  21. Looks all the same to me. I think Im still just going to keep the "S"himano on my chest.
  22. Cool. Im just gonna bring that same rig I brought to the keys. Its just a spinning setup with 30# braid. I was using frozen squid. Good to hear you can fish off the island. Is there a bait shop close to there?
  23. Any of the S Fl guys fished off Peanut Island? Im going there tomorrow morning for the day, and maybe bring a pole to fish. Is it worth it? I caught a nice Jack from the shore last weekend in Islamirada, and wanted to try some up here. Advice?
