Kc Spring Get Together
Well I went ahead and booked my place at Beaver, couldn't wait any longer fearing that the lodging will fill up. If you guys end up staying at riverview, I'm about 13 mins away. It's a 3 bedroom and sleeps 7. I'm booked for 2 people, it's $25/night per additional guest per night. I'm sure I can add people at any time, so if anyone can't find a place let me know. Probably room for 2 more, any more than that and you'd be sharing a queen bed.

Swimbait Eaters!
Ah-ha...I think I just figured out what the vague 2-3 week delivery time from Japan is....it better make it here!! That bait sold itself, when the morning bite died off for me, the only thing they wanted was your 175, and I got to watch you put on a clinic. Trying to decide on a new rod for throwing them, maybe something I can dual purpose with arig.

Florida Fishing Trip
Pit boss, bladed jig, Topwater Swimbait (Gambler). They couldn't resist the bladed jig fished slow when I was down there last month.

Who's Your Pick And Why?
I'm going with Justin Lucas, solid rookie season with lots of top 10s, I think his first win will be at the classic.

Favorite Knots For Flurocarbon
For all the San Diego Jam people, I know I've talked with a couple buddies about this, but thought I might bring it up here out of curiosity. I've been using it for the last three years, and it seems when tying the knot you get a lot of breaks when ipulling it tight( I can go all day and not have a break when tying or I can have one break 3 times in a row while re-tying). I have no complaints having to re-tie when this happens bc once you get a good knot, it's indestructible. Didn't know if anyone else has had same experience and if they have figured out what the cause is.

Shimano Citica?
I can not speak for the newer model citicas, but have 6 of the 200e's. I always pick them up when I see a good deal. $75 is a good buying price, don't pay the $100/ea that some want. I like to pick em up for $60-$75 and then if you want to upgrade bearings or drags you can.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Went to melvern today against my better judgement. Couldn't fish anything I wanted to bc of the winds. Highlight of my day was catching some major air and watching my bow mount fish finder dangle by the cord. I think I marked 3 fish, caught one little chubby smallmouth.

Pretty work!! That first smallie pic, is that right on that point by the boat ramp/marina. The spot that always looks so fire but I never catch one there? That's a nice LM as well.

Kc Spring Get Together
I'm not going to make it, unless you get bad weather the 19th. Only weekend we could do my daughters bday party. I'll be at grand though.

Kc Spring Get Together
Less than 3 weeks from Melvern, do we have an idea who's fishing, and who's fishing with who. We're not doing eating afterwards is what I read in the earlier posts I believe.

Need Help Wit A Kansas Lake
Ned rig is a finesse technique created by a Kansas native named Ned Kehde. 1/16 jig head, elaztech worm like the zinkerz by zman, and your choice of line on a spinning reel. I run 6-8lb flouro seaguar tatsu. Some run 10lb braid to a flouro leader. I tried nano with leader and didn't like it because any moderate wind makes fishing nano a nightmare. Super glue helps keep worm on, they like to slide around.

Football, I borrowed your big football mold and I think I gave you my little football mold to use when I brought yours back but I'm not positive.

Yo Zuri Hybrid Vs Invisx
Oh I got 6lb tatsu, I just didn't know if people had a preference of straight tatsu, or 10lb power pro to a tatsu leader. Ive never fished the dropshot on braid/flouro leader, curious if you lose some feel in the bite.

Yeah that's the only one, I don't need it just making sure I didn't lose it somewhere in my garage cleaning. I think I gave the other one to Curt.

Go back and read some of the fall/spring get together topic posts. Should be tons of stuff, but remember 3. Dam, Ned rid, and jerkbait :-).- Yo Zuri Hybrid Vs Invisx
Well it's ordered, another free t-shirt!!! I got a variety, tatsu, abrazxx, and invizz. Definitely going to back the reels that the tatsu is going on. On my spinning dropshot rig, should I do straight tatsu or 10lb power pro and tatsu leader?- Yo Zuri Hybrid Vs Invisx
I know your answer, but will ask it anyway. Is the tatsu line twice as good as the red label? I'm happy with my red label, but is the tatsu worth the extra $$? Also have you ever experience a bad batch of the Yo-Zuri hybrid? I bought a big spool and it stayed on my reel for 1 night, had 2 breakoffs in open water and that was two too many. I guess I should give it another shot, might of had some backlash kinks or something to weaken the line.- Florida Bass Fishing - January Edition
Heading down tomorrow to stuart area. Trying to conserve tackle space in my luggage. Looks like spinnerbaits and worms are hot. My plan is zoom tricks, t-macs, and beaver style baits, some cranks, and jigs. If anybody has anything to add it would be greatly appreciated. I never have had time to bass fish when I'm in Florida, so I'm coming in blind. Got a lot of good info on here and pitbossrick, the pit boss is my go to bait, I recommend lime purple passion, perfection blue fleck, and the trusty blk/blue. Also, I might try and catch my first peacock, so any must have baits or areas around west palm/Davie/port st Lucie would be great. Idk how far north you can find them, but if I have to go further south to Miami, I will. Also I will be a non boater. Thanks guys- Calling All Humminbird Guru's
Thx guys , yeah I've been watching that other thread, I guess I'll wait and see if any more info comes out on the 1199. I wish they would have made that a touch model and this would be a much easier decision.- Calling All Humminbird Guru's
So here's the deal. I've been saving up all year anticipating the release of a touchscreen model, which has now been introduced. However my plan was to buy a touchscreen for the console and a discounted 998c si hd for the bow. I assumed that these models would be able to link and wasn't expecting a complete software system change. I am now questioning what is the best route to take, and money is definitely a part of it or I would just order 2 Onix units. I am so confused as to what direction to take with the 1199, the 1198, and the new touch models. Do I wait for a black Friday sale and buy an 1198 and 998 and run the old stuff or is the 1199 worth the extra bucks. I think the Onix is out of the question since you would have to buy 2 at $3200 a pop to interlink them. Or an onix on the console and a 998c on the bow and just no interlink. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thx- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Well I guess I will try and hit LaCygne tomorrow morning with everyone and their grandma. Way to go LV on the 7.5. I've hit a few new areas last time but have tons left to explore. I will one day figure that place out a little better. I think you have to hit unpressured areas bc everyone hammers the same spots.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Hit my honey hole tonight, and pulled out a monster 7lb 15oz. Love this fall action right now, the bite is on like donkey kong. - Need Help Wit A Kansas Lake
