i have a 85 hydra sport, that needs carpet in it. I thouqht of puttin line-x in it instead, anyone done this or knowof anyone that has? I fiqure it would be easier to keep clean, and your hooks wont qet stuck lol..

Lol I'm ADD and ADHD.

Stratos boats are heavy. And when I say worked on I mean Jetted carbs, holes poked in the exhaust.

I looked at borh, bot have great compression, pump water, I took the Hydra sport out and I do t see the Stratos running as good.

True lol they bot are equal when it comes to the shape its in nut what one would be better. Me myself can run a boat 60s 70 mph and still feel safe.

Thoughtfor sure I had found my boat. But here another one its a 18 ft 85 model Hydra Sports x 270 tourney edition, with a 150 evenrude has a new ss prop. Newer trollin motor, seats in good shape everything works on it, its had work done to it boat runs 72 mph. The other is a 88 Stratos 18 ft 176, 150 mercury with basically everything the other has but only run about 63-65.. What one is better, safer, better ride. Thanks for the help.

My pb came from the Ohio river, there was a barge half way sunk wit a weed bed in it, water about a foot an a half deep, threw a black buzz bait and no soon it hit the weeds there she blew almost 7 pounds!

Now to mention it haggard and Jones do get a better bite lol

After reading this I wanna jig fish lol. I decides this year to try to fish a jig, I very rarely fish one.

Thanks everyone for the responses, the lake I fish which is Yatesville lake in ky is a big party lake always jet skis, boats ripping and roaring all around ya. I still don't know how it would effect the bite, I would say its all about the situation.

Everyone is missing my point lol. I don't listen to it while fishing in a tournament. Rarely listen to it at all, but I always here people arguing whether or not it effects the bite? There's nothing better to me than bein on the lake with just the sounds of the great outdoors.

When i in a tourney I usually don't, but with the wife and the young en I do. But as far as the fish goes does the fish pay attention to the sound waves?

Some people argue about listening to music why fishing, what's your opinion on it. Will that effect you catching any fish?

My first rig that's all mine. I did have a ranger with my dad and brother but time for one of my own. It's a 89 STRATOS 18 ft. With a 150 merc. The carpet looks brandnew in it new fish finders, and trollin motor. Bought for 2500$ the boat itself is in excellent condition. What you all think?

ranger holds there value like no other boat plus sounds like what your lookin for..

in frankfort ky there is a little river and its the best i have seen, we took kayaks and caut around 100 in a day and a half, post later with the name

lol in lexinton i cant but there are a couple killer lakes down around ashland. ya need to come up one weekend and well fish 'em
