Im looking at an Abu Garcia Revo Premier 3rd generation on clearance for $190.00. Anybody here use these?

I fish from a kayak and use Fenwick HMG 6' rods and St.Croix Premier 6' rod with Pfluger Supreme xt's and fish what your friend does plus buzz baits. I do quite well with these rods. Bass Pro Fishing Classic starts 02/16/18 if you live near one and they always offer a trade in credit for used rods/reels. Can be a cheap old rod or reel.

I just sold my President LE 35 and bought a second Supreme xt 30 spinning reel, I love my first one. I will be switching from mono to braid this year. What is a good braided line?

Bass Pro should be having their Spring fishing classic soon, trade in an old rod get money towards a new rod.

I have been looking for a Pflueger Supreme Xt baitcaster to buy with Bass Pro gift cards. Not available online and when I called the Michigan store and Portage IN store they told me that stopped selling Pflueger baitcasters in the stores. I checked Cabelas and ships from manufacture only, not available in store in Michigan.

Thanks for all the input, I found out today that Bass Pro is no longer selling Pflueger baitcasters in the stores and only a couple options online. I have a lot of .gift cards from BPS to spend.

I am looking to buy a new baitcaster with my BPS gift cards. I dont see a lot of talk about Pflueger baitcasters on the forum. I own 4 P spinning reels and was interested in their baitcaster line. I Fish a lot of top water lures. Does anyone own Pflueger baitcasters? Are they any good?

I am 5'4" and brought up short people should use short rods. I am looking for new rod for my Curado I. I fish a lot of top water poppers and buzzbaits. I currently use 6' spinning rods but dont get much distance.

I like the Fenwick HMG and St. Croix Premier rods. I have an Abu Garcia Vendetta thats nice also. I own all Pflueger reels Prsident LE 35, President xt, Supreme and Supreme xt all nice reels.

How is that Tourney tough line? I am going to BPS this weekend to pick up a new spinning reel and rod, looking at the Avid or Loomis Ex6 for texas rig and wacky worm.

I was thinking of picking one up for my top water fishing rod. HJave not found one in a store yet to feel it.

Im going to BPS to trade in an older Mitchell spinning reel during the trade in sale. Looking for a spinning reel to match up with my Vendetta and my Premier that I just picked up with coupon from GM. I reall y hope Im still out when Im 72, thats awesome!

I can remember using 24 lb mono as a kid, rolls from Kmart. I still use mono but a lot thinner diameter. Have tried flouro and braid and always come back to mono.

I ordered a Patriarch spinning reel (last years model) from Cabelas on sale. Looking for a good MF rod to put it on. I throw a lot of top water poppers and buzz baits. I really liked the St.Croix Avid and Premier rods when I was at BPS last night. I never used a high priced rod before, but they feel amazing. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The Rod trade in starts on 02/23/17 so I can save money towards a really nice rod.

I use spinning gear(have 2 seperate set ups) on lures that weigh less than 3/8 oz and baitcasting gear for all of my 1/2 oz lures like spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and lipless cranks etc.

If you have a Bass Pro near by, wait until they start their fishing classic, rumor has rthe Pro Qualifer will be around $60.00 and Berkley shock rods usually around $30.00. Good starter combo and wont break the bank. They also offer trade in of /rods/reels for coupons towards new rods/reels. I started off with mono while learning, a lot cheaper when I would have to cut out line because I backlashed so bad a few times, now it rarely happens. (only when I am rushing or not paying attention)
