  1. I am thinking about the revo stx because of the extra drag and the dual braking system. I do not want to get the Lew's because I read some bad things about them. So now it's between the revo stx and the chronarch.
  2. I am tired of only being able to have 1 rod so I am wanting to build a rod holder for my float tube and was wondering if anyone has any ideas.
  3. Never fished a swimbait for freshwater bass but these are the best for saltwater bass.
  4. I have a curado 50e on it right now but I will be putting that on a Phenix recon 6'8" light rod.
  5. Also I have this rod in the 6'6" medium-light and was wondering if that's fine for top water and shallow diving cranks. http://www.basspro.c...10204844/126746
  6. I want it for top water and shallow diving. I think I have decided on a 6.5:1 gear ratio chronarch.
  7. I just picked up my curado and I think I'm going to have to go with another.
  8. I researched the Lew's a bit and all the reviews say it is way better then the curado so I might have to give it a try.
  9. What about the revo stx? Is it any good and how is it compared a curado 200e. That Lew's looks good but I have never heard of them much so I'm not sure if I would get one or not.
  10. I need a reel for crankbaits but I do not know what to get. I am thinking either a Shimano chronarch 200e6 or an Abu Garcia revo stx. Is one of these better then the other or are they about the same? I have a curado 200e7 and 50e and love them but I want to try something else. For some reason I feel like the Abu Garcia reels are cheap and Shimano is way better but a lot of people say the revo reels are amazing.
  11. Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for.
  12. Sorry I mean light in power and I would like at least 6'6". Edit: I think I will go with what the poster above put but I will still consider different ones. One thing is it must be 1 piece no 2 pieces.
  13. I have been looking for a light casting rod for under $200 and was wondering if anyone knows of any.
  14. For right handed you will have to switch hands after casting. For some people switching hands is a problem but for me I like it better because it is what I have always used and switching hands doesn't take that long. So really what you start with will probably be what you get used to and will like more.
  15. Not to steal the thread but do you use 10# PowerPro on a bait caster? If so then how does it work, I have heard it is to light and hard to cast.
  16. Curado 50E is great but I would go for the Curado 200E7 because it is a little bigger.
  17. If I exchanged it for a medium would that be a better all around crank bait rod?
  18. What size would it be good for? Do you mean the weight of the cranks or the diving depth. The rod I have has 1/16-1/2 lure weight.
  19. oh and sorry but 1 more question, is a 6'6 medium light rod fine for crank baits I bought it at bass pro today and don't want to buy another rod and bass pro is kinda far so I won't be able to return it.
  20. The one near me doesn't carry fishing stuff.
  21. You don't want to know what happened the first time I tried...
  22. Ok so now I just need to know what gear ratio for crank baits.
