They don't have one long enough to cover my rod. I need 7'11" and I want it to cover the whole rod.

Anyone know any rod covers that will cover the entire rod. I am tired of my rods getting all scuffed up and stuff like that. I was looking at the Rod Glove XL's because they are plenty long but are not sure if they will fit over the trigger on casting rods.

I have caught 4 pelicans in 1 day and have caught one before even leaving the dock. Those things love sardines, some days its like wide open pelicans and thats all the deckhands are doing is unhooking pelicans.

I have only used Power Pro and P-Line and I really like Power Pro but hate the P-Line.

Not sure how old this is but I fish for spotties often. 3" Big Hammer swimbaits work great.

Yea and the make amazing reels, rods and even cycling stuff. I personally would never buy a Quantum reel.

I honestly don't know what you expect, its a rebate. Should I call Abu Garcia about my rebate and tell them how much I hate my STX. No.

I think the point of this is that Shimano is the best. Which is true because there is NO reel like a Shimano.

Only knot you need to know is the uni knot. Can use it for leaders even.

Wasn't sure where to post this but I was wondering if anyone here lives in southern California and ever fishes for calico bass. I'm going out this weekend and am super excited. If anyone lives here or is visiting and has never caught a calico bass it is a species you must target.

I from now on will store all my plastics in their bags. Over the weekend I went fishing and noticed all my black and blue senkos were gone but then I noticed all the black senkos had a tiny hint of blue still and realized all the black bled into the blue. Same thing happened will my black and chartreuse plastics.Only plastics I will store out of a package are ones that don't come in a package.

What beach is that? I would love to catch halibut like that.

I use to fish with a guy who swore by rooster tails, that's all he ever used.

About how many bags of plastics can you fit in there and in the bigger one which I assume is the 7080? I'm debating ordering the 3731 or the 7080.

Okay but lets say I took my paca chunks out of the package but after reading this I want to put them back in. How is there any way I will get them all back in there straight? Do you think I can just throw those in there anyway?

Sorry this is kind of off topic but kind of related. Is it okay to store worms with the tails folded or a craw bait with the claw folded or will this mess them up?

Would the Phenix PHX-S692L work good for the techniques I already mentioned? It's 6'9", 4-10# line, fast action, 1/16-3/8oz casting weight, and is a medium light. There is also a 7'2" with the same specs. Then there is also a 7'2", 6-12# line, 1/8-1/2oz casting weight, and is medium. Which one would work well for weightless plastics and drop shot. I have a Phenix casting rod from the same series and it is amazing so I was just wondering if any of those would work for the techniques I want it for.

I store mine out the bag and have never had any problems. Just don't store plastics such as gulp out of the package because those dry up. Boxes are so much easier to organize, way faster to find the bait you want.

Well I am getting the Shimano Stradic CI4 and I already mentioned so I was wondering what size I would want of that reel. I'm also still open to suggestions on rods.
