  1. Uni for everything, only knot you need to know and you can tie any kind of line and leaders.
  2. how did you get it in your cart? I'm just going to assume it sold out.
  3. Well looks like I just found my new worm rod. Thanks for posting this. Dang it, it's in store only. I never get to get these good deals.
  4. Isn't the soft worse then the original? At least that is what I've heard.
  5. I wouldn't fish it without it. It Will cut up your line.
  6. How does the Powell endurance series compare to the recon? I'm talking about full price not with any deals. Also what else compares to the recon for a similar price?
  7. What is the brand and name of this thing? I might have to try it, looks like a way better way to haul rods them throwing them in the back of my truck. Already had one break like that and others have slight wear from rubbing on things.
  8. Where are you seeing these at? I really want one now that I missed that deal on tw by like seconds.
  9. Really not sure what to go with. Now that I think about it, I will probably use it for drop shot and shaky head just as often.
  10. I wish there was a ml, I might even just go with a different rod. Maybe a cumara or even a powell endurance since I can get it for only $100.
  11. But there is no option of a medium light so what was the point of that post.
  12. It's a common problem with abu garcia reels. I have the same problem with my gen 2 revo stx. I have heard that the spool tension knob is put together incorrectly and can be easily fixed but I haven't bothered to check yet even though I have had this reel for over a year. Maybe if I fixed it then I would actually use it.
  13. The rod only comes in light and medium.
  14. I will probably be using this rod for just dropshot and shaky head
  15. How long is this special going on for? I might pick up a 723.
  16. I'm going to go with the 2500, not sure about the rod yet.
  17. I am looking to get a new spinning set up for drop shot and whatever is too light to throw on my baitcasters. I have decided on a Shimano stradic ci4 but am not sure if I should get the 1000 or the 2500. Same thing with the rod I have decided on getting my third phenix recon but am not sure if I should get the the 722 or 723. Both are 7'2", 722 is a light and the 723 is a medium.
  18. Just ordered a phenix recon 715, phenix x-composite x12, and 6'8" medium heavy shimano cumara since it was such a good deal. Also bought a chronarch 200e7 at bass pro today and will be getting a chronarch 50e for my cumara within the next few weeks. Edit: Well this sucks, tw messed up while I was in checkout and the cumara sold out...and that was the rod I was looking forward to the most.
  19. Oh ok, looks like I'll still be getting it, gona be an expensive order as I'm getting the cumara, the phenix recon 715 and also a phenix x composite x12. Even though some people have this much into one rod.
  20. Oh I just noticed we weren't even talking about the same cumara. I was asking about the 6'8" medium heavy casting.
  21. I'll probably go for the 715 then. I know the cumara is a great rod and I want it because it's so cheap and the warranty is amazing. I have a crucial well had the older model and it broke near the reel seat from something smashing it in the back of my truck so I sent it in and they sent me the NEW model no questions asked. I think I'll get the 6'8" for spinnerbaits and texas rigs. I would get the 7'2" but I already have a phenix recon 682 for my weightless plastics.
  22. I find myself using 1/2oz jigs the most often. I want this to be my all around jig rod. I fish a variety of lakes/ponds/rivers some with heavy cover some with no cover. I usually cast and flip jigs. About the cumara, THIS IS NOT FOR JIGS, it's just really cheap and I want one but don't know what I would use it for and don't want to make another thread. So what would you use the 6'8" medium heavy or the 7'2" medium for?
  23. Yea that's the impression I have been getting but I'll wait for a few more responses. Also I noticed the older shimano cumaras are on sale and was wondering what the 6'8"mh and 7'2"m would be useful for. I am not asking if these would be good for jigs since I am getting a recon no matter what, I'm just wondering what these are good for since they are so cheap I feel like I need to buy one and I don't want to make another thread.
