  1. These things are great for any outdoor activity and keep getting better with each model.
  2. Lets do it, come on up! I've got spare rooms, and your (tidal) Va license works on the Pot-o-mac. EDIT by Traveler: I don't know anything about non-tidal Potomac waters.
  3. "fubar'ed" Man I haven't heard that word used for ages.... Get well soon
  4. And A-Jay is the winner; come to Lake Pickwick for the 2013 Road Trip and I'll buy you a beer!
  5. Nitro, I use a Garmin GPSmap 76CSx, which is out of date by now, but any good personal gps would do the same. Garmin were standard issue at work and I carried one faithfully when I traveled. They now have a marine personal gps that looks good, http://www.thegpssto...-GPS-P2386.aspx I believe the newer boat electronics can also save tracks as well; there, you move the units memory chip to your computer to download the tracks. But basically you save your fishing/boating tracks on the personal GPS in small "trips"; you then download the tracks from the GPS to your home computer; then you import them into Google Earth and they show up as you see them in the pic's; then you can save a Google Earth screen shot as a *.jpg photo on your computer; next, print the pic's and place them into a plastic photo holder that you can take with you on the boat (I use 5X7); you can put a 5X7 index card in the holder with fishing log data to go with the pic.
  6. "Politicians are much like diapers, they should be changed frequently, and for the same reasons" - Robin Williams.... now,,, tell me the name of the movie
  7. Just posted some pic's in the Lake Anna Meet & Greet album. They're Google Earth GPS tracks of fishing with Steve & Aj, and Nitrofreak. These pic's are something I do as documentation for my fishing logs.
  8. OK guy's, I now have an album called 2012 Lake Anna Meet & Greet with photo's from the event. I had a great time, but it was too short, and I didn't get a chance to meet and chat with everyone like I would have liked to. This was my second event like this with the club and I like the opportunity to meet members face-to-face, I'm really looking forward to the 2013 Road Trip at Lake Pickwick, and the next Va Meet & Greet. EDIT: I also posted the same photos on my FaceBook page (http://www.facebook.com/emmagruder) for my non-club member friends to see what they missed
  9. Hi Eddie, If you like, there should be a lot of good bank fishing; we could look over the map, pick out some promising section of shore and transport you to & from it. If you're going to get a line wet anyway, might as well make some new friends in the process. And don't forget, we'll have some goodies to hand out to attendees; I'm going to through in some home made spinner & buzz baits for everyone. Surprise!!
  10. You mean the feared "do & die" look, OMG.
  11. aw, tell her what we want you to bring, and then tell us how hard she laughs.
  12. I will also have a 5 or 6 foot folding table for my camp site if we need it, it will be in my truck at the cookout.
  13. My boats loaded and ready, and I started loading my truck yesterday!
  14. I can tell you that if you like this Board, and chatting with it's members, you'll like it even better once you start meeting members face to face and forming one-on-one friendships. We all come from a wide range of backgrounds, but we have one thing in common - fishing. It doesn't matter if you just started, or you've been fishing for thirty years; and you don't need a fancy bass boat, just something that floats safely and hopefully can hold a passenger. So think about attending the Meet & Greet, I think you'll enjoy the event. Again, if your not sure about something, never been to Anna, and have questions, please ask. If we don't know the answer, we'll try to find out for you.
  15. Just saw this on WTOP.com and thought you might be interested. http://www.wtop.com/109/3032911/Unusual-fish-lurks-near-Wilson-Bridge
  16. I know Zoff and Nitrofreak will not leave anyone out of this event,,,,, So lets fill this list guys, the more the merrier. BOATER'S! Please step up to the plate, you will not regret it. We'll have a fun day chasing each other around the lake Also, don't forget, some of us will be at the State Park camping Fri, Sat, Sun; stop by, say the password "Bass Resource" and lets get a line wet. One more thing to think about, the State Park isn't all that far from the Richmond's BPS, and Green Top Hunting & Fishing; and there's Gander Mountain in Fredricksburg if you would also like to do some shopping. Cheers, E
  17. Our family has used the expression "No Fools, No Fun" for many, many years. I'll tell you the story of how we came by it when we get together,
  18. Are we going to have to keep you two apart at Anna; yous twos is nuts!
  19. Aw, you don't want to support the economy by funding travel expenses? You know you'll have a good time.
  20. Wish you could make it. I'll fish with you any place, any day; looking forward to Pickwick.
  21. Done!!! "Bring something you can store in a cooler full of ice in your vehicle during the day." Cooler...? I think I have one of those things - - I think it has a big "7 UP" on the side, wait until you see it you'll laugh your a** off; my wife says it a antique.
