How To Decide Who To Marry?
My wife is a sucker for snake-oil, she will buy whatever beauty cream that claims to remove wrinkles; so when I get the opportunity, I'll take my glasses off and say "Ah, you look twenty years younger" Just the other day she told me she was excited that this great wrinkle cream just arrived, I said "it did??, I didn't see a drum out in the driveway?" She also gets very frustrated when trying to use a mirror, she says some old woman keeps jumping in front of her. And.... One day I asked my wife if she wanted to go shopping at the mall and she agreed, as we were walking out the door she asked what was I shopping for? I said I wanted to see if I could trade her in on a new model, a sporty one, with up-to-date styling, and no body damage. d**n that woman can punch......

Has anyone tried freezing bottles of water and Gatorade in stead of using ice? I take 3 unfrozen of each and 3 frozen of each in a soft cooler.

Yes, one can argue the term used in the 2nd Amendment "Bear Arms" to mean military service based on historical use of the term through the centuries back to the Latin and Greeks. The debate by its writers notwithstanding. But I rarely hear any mention of the 9th Amendment when discussing gun rights. The Ninth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, addresses rights of the people that are not specifically enumerated [not listed] in the Constitution. I contend the common law right to self protection has existed from the time our ancestors climbed out of the trees and used bones to protect themselves from predators, and that necessity prevailed throughout time as technology advanced to the spear, knife, sword, gun, and so on; every culture on the planet had it's own form of tool for protection and hunting, i.e. the blowgun; the point being mankind has a right born of time in existence to protect themselves whenever and wherever necessary,,, not just inside their homes; and the 9th would cover citizen gun rights.

Yes, it would. How is the cell coverage where you are? You might be able to get a USB wifi adapter that would let you connect via cell towers.

You may think your not doing ****, but you are. Standing guard IS very boring, but at the same time VERY important and dangerous. Your the line of defense of a lot of people and the first target of an attacker. Be thankful your not diving for cover from incoming. When I was in Baghdad at the BIAP we had a mortar round land nearby that we never heard coming, it showered us with rocks and scared the **** out of us. We were loading equipment onto a truck with a forklift at the time. We hardly had time to duck. Other than small bruises from the rocks luckily no one was hurt. Bottom line - **** can happen any place, any time. So you are doing something, your protecting a bunch of wave-hoppers who are probably not individually armed. Tip: never ASSUME your safe, keep aware of your surroundings at all times, on duty and off. Stay safe.

Yes, I've read this and find it interesting they injected "bearable" arms. I do not recall a limitation of "bearable" mentioned prior to this writing, however, I could have read over it, or just not encountered it as there is so much on this subject. After my post I did discover this: "In a dissent, joined by Justices Souter, Ginsburg, and Breyer, Justice Stevens said: The Amendment’s text does justify a different limitation: the “right to keep and bear arms” protects only a right to possess and use firearms in connection with service in a state-organized militia. Had the Framers [founders/people of the day] wished to expand the meaning of the phrase “bear arms” to encompass civilian possession and use, they could have done so by the addition of phrases such as “for the defense of themselves”. " This may be where the law professor was coming from in his statement. I have read that the founding Fathers were suspicious of a single government holding an army that said gov. could turn against the states, therefore they wanted the citizens to keep and bear arms as a militia to offset that threat. If I recall the writings of John Adams clearly spoke to this end, even in letters to his wife. Forgive me if I mis-speak here, it's been a while since I've dug into this subject.

"How could you do this to a fellow Blonde?" P.S. I was corrected on FB when posting Blond jokes. My friend suggested that I use the term Bimbo as it covers all girls, not just Blonds. She her self is a blond- Gunman Opens Fire In Colorado Theater
I'll add one to the mix... I recently read a news article where they interviewed some constitutional law professor here in Wash. D.C. who said that: 1. With the advent of National Gard to replace the militia, and the paid military, the purpose of the 2nd amendment is null and void. 2. the Supreme Court would be within it's powers to recommend that gun ownership be limited to the "arms of the day" meaning black powder single shot weapons which the authors were referring to when they wrote the amendments. Now that would start a fight.....- Computer Gurus I Need Assistance
What version of Windows are you running, and do you have the SW disks?- Computer Gurus I Need Assistance
OK, so you on the same wifi as others that do not have this problem, so that indicates it's in your computer. I don't know anything about system care 5 or malware by anti malbytes, where did you get them? I hope not off the Internet, my daughter downloaded a anti-virus SW from the net that was in it's self a virus; we played hell getting that off her computer. As for Vista, I'm not qualified to help you on the proper way to remove that by it's self. The only way I do it is to save off all files I want to keep onto an external drive, then wipe the hard drive clean and then do a new load of windows and necessary drivers. This is not a fun task and you need to be prepared appropriate SW and driver disks. Are you deleting temporary IE files when you close IE? Go to Tools/Internet Options/Browsing History & make sure the box is checked. Then go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/scroll down to Security/check Empty Temporary Internet Files. For System Memory go to the Computer icon/System Properties, look for Installed Memory (RAM).- Electric Help Needed, Please!!
Look at post #29, top diagram, bottom center, next to the start solenoid is a safety switch. It's location on the drawing tells me this one is somewhere under the engine hood. But look at how it's wired, the solenoid will not function unless the switch is in the correct position. You may have something like this on your motor.- Computer Gurus I Need Assistance
I'm not a computer guru either, but I do know a few things. If your not using Vista you should get rid of it to free up some disk space. How much disk space do you have free? How much memory do you have? How are you connected to the Internet? Do you have the same equipment as the other guy's. Can you test your computer on their connection? When was the last time you emptied your Recycle Bin, ran Hard Drive clean Up. Look in: Start/All Programs/Accessories/ System Tools. Also, look to see what IE add-on's you have running and why? Disable any you don't need. While in IE: go to Tools/Manage Add-on's They can eat up memory fast. CAUTION - Don't go on the Internet to use some free computer clean up, speed up, or disk tools you could get a virus. A lot of questions, i know, but we need to get a good mental picture of your setup. Your problem "may" be lack of RAM and/or hard disk space.- How To Locate Underwater Springs?
Usually springs are the headwaters of creeks and are shown on some maps that also show creek detail. Check the map key table where they define the maps symbols, if you don't see a symbol for a spring (i.e. an *) then they're not shown on that map. What is the name of the reservoir in question? With the name I can do some research on USGS for you.- Moderator??
