  1. I guess there's not much to learn, but I haven't have much luck or patience with Senkos and would like to try and change that this year.
  2. What a shame for you to suggest to a man taking it upon himself to feed his family, that he should go on government assistance instead.
  3. Sounds good. I think I'll go this route.
  4. Good input. Thanks guys.
  5. I've been told that attaching lures to your line with snap swivels has a negative impact on lure action, but it seems like a big time saver what do you guys think? Is there a significant impact on lure action?
  6. Their gulp alive mullets, shrimps and sandworms are great for fluke and stripers. Thanks for the link!
  7. All of my stuff is middle of the road. Why? I like quality and a little bit of performance, but I've still got mouths to feed and can't, in good conscience, drop $200 on a fishing rod. If a G. Loomis makes you happy though, God bless ya!
  8. I actually started bass fishing because I didn't have as much time for saltwater anymore. I live atlest an hour away from the ocean, but am surrounded by lakes, so it just made sense.
  9. Big bass earn people names from me, usually Henry, Bertha, Ralph, Susan, etc.
  10. Anybody going trout fishing on Saturday? I am!
  11. ...and the BPS catalogs I keep in the bathroom at work.
  12. I wear crankbaits for man-earings.
  13. Berkley Gulp Alive micro baits always work for me, the white waxies are my favorite. I always keep a jar in my tackle box for when the bass bite slows down.
  14. Got pretty cold this weekend up here. Fished slow but still got skunked.
  15. I've been fishing a few 1/2 oz. traps lately and I'm thinking about putting some larger/sharper hooks on. What size and brand do you guys like?
  16. I fish them with a keel weighted hook like a suspending jerkbait.
  17. x3 on the rage craws. I use paca chunks also, but the action on the rage craws is awesome!
  18. Hey guys, lets start sharing some info. I've been fishing clear water from the bank and I've been successful with blue-gill color jigs/trailers (caught a PB 6 1/2 pounder on this). Also had a lot of luck on Sunday slow-rolling a chrome/blue trap (the chain pickerel loved that one also). How about you guys?
  19. Welcome to the boards!
  20. I'm not a screamer, but I fake it sometimes.
  21. Look at it this way, if your confidence baits are not producing you'll be no worse off giving something new a try. There are always a few baits that can apply any fishing conditions, so you just have to pick one and give it your best shot. The lure articles on the site (http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-lures-articles/) do an awesome job of outlining the best conditions colors and presentations for every bass lure out there.
  22. I picked up a DT 10 last weekend, very nice!
  23. Its a good bait, but IMO the Rat-L-Trap has a better action.
  24. I've got a couple I've never thrown because I don't have confidence in them
