Another for spinnerbaits this year! I've just never been patient with them for some reason. I'll have to leave my cranks, jigs and plastics at home!

Main bass forage in my favorite lake is bluegill and I caught my PB swimming a bluegill colored jig w/craw trailer. Jigs can immitate baitfish too!

good idea, I could put a longer cord on it and fling it a few yards out from the bank.

What kind of thermometers do you guys use to measure water temp? Anything I could use from the bank? Would surface temp from an infrared be accurate?

Thanks for the info guys. I haven't tried Jerkbaits lately, should I go with something smaller or larger for cold water?

Its getting cold up here in the Northeast but we're still pretty far away from any ice. I primarily fish from the bank and have not had much luck lately. Everything I can find on winter bass points to fishing deep. Is it a waste of time fishing from the bank this time of year? If not what techniques work best.

Anybody finding more weeds than usual out there? Last summer in my usual hole I was throwing cranks, but now cant even throw a jig or spinnerbait without pulling in a blob of weeds with it. The plastic bite has been slow for me and I can't try anything else. Makes me wanna go home and drink beer!

Never ever even came remotely close to throwing any of my gear. Maybe his parents bought him to much new stuff as a kid?

I'm trying to get some confidence in Senkos. I fished 2 hours from the bank with nothing but a weightless t-rigged Senko, and got 1 bite, 0 hook-ups. That's more than I've ever gotten on a Senko previously so I guess I'm headed in the right direction.

Same thing here, very slow fishing following last week's weather. Should warm up by next weekend though.

I think I'm the first for this one: Rat-L-Trap, Chrome w/ Blue back, fitted with some nice VMC hooks.

What kind of retrieve do you like with these?

Here is a pearl of wisdom from me to you: An hour spent bank fishing before and after work is better than no fishing at all.

Hey guys, I was browsing at dick's on Saturday and picked up a pack of these in Houdini. I didn't have any luck with them, but I was swimming them Texas rigged on a keel weighted hook. How do you guys fish these?
