Jerkbait / Topwater Combo Rod
The 68mxf is a fantastic topwater/jerbait rod. If you go avid, i would go that route.

A Question For The Reel Gurus.
Yes, you can remove the knobs. Remove the knob caps on the out most portion of the knob /w a small screwdriver or anyting small to dip in that gap and pull them out and there will be a screw underneath the cap generally the same size as the frame screws. They may be tight so go slow and don't strip them. Watch for any spacers that may or may not be in there as they serve the purpose to remove handle play. They are generally under the bottom bearing on the underside of the knob so when you pull the knob off, do it over a cloth. Sometimes they are stock to the bottom of the knob shaft though so they can just stay put. knobs will pull right off. and just put the new ones on there. I don't know how large the knob length is on the 300 lexa but you may or may not need a different length screw for the knobs but I doubt it.

Road To The Super Bowl!
Unless the argument is focusing on a single offensive/defensive statistic (which it isn't), the "look who they have played argument" is about as dumb as it gets. They don't make the schedule....there's nothing they can do about how bad their opponents have been. The Patriots are doing exactly what any good NFL team should be doing when playing a lesser opposition, winning and winning by a good margin. The have one difficult game against Denver's defense this year and maybe the Jets depending on the health of Ivory/Decker. It isn't like anything is going to be surprised if they 14-2/15-1. They are unarguably playing the best football in the NFL and unless somebody has a cloud of ignorance looming over their head, it's undeniable how well they are playing. I'm not a Patriots fan/supporter but talent and ignorance are easily recognizable.

Curado B Drive Shaft Replacement
If you just stripped the threads on the top for the handle nut you can rethread it if it isnt too bad. Delaware valley tackle might be able to help you track down the part if need be. No idea if drive shafts are interchangeable

St Croix Mojo Bass 2015
That comment went over your head I think. Regardless, IF the new mojo is the same SCIII blank as the avid only paint/coated, you're paying 80-100$ for an "upgrade" to kigan Z guides (on the avid X) that are, I believe, similar if not the same guide used on the Dobyns. These guides aren't anything special and don't warrant that massive price increase. Not to mention the issues Dobyns have had /w guide rings popping out /w their Kigans. Again, IF it is indeed built on the SCIII blank, you're paying 200$ for a rod series /w less models, the same blank, average guides, and a cork foregrip...all of which can be found but /w more models /w various powers/actions on a 120$ rod w/o a cork foregrip....hence...the comment "split grip avid". Where it is assembled nothing I'm concerned with. I had too many quality control issues /w guides and reel seats on previous LTB rods and below. Never an issue /w the Xtreme/Elites. I imagine the standard avid will be "updated". While they are a fine rod, they aren't worth the 200$ price tag in today's market anymore. There are far too many other options /w better blanks/components. Their latest Legend Elite upgrade should take its place near the top of the off-the-shelf rods on paper. A quality cork full grip SCV blank /w torzite guides for less than 450$ is a bargain. I would imagine the avid shouldn't be far behind as far as a makeover/upgrade goes.

Late Fall Tips Needed
I will second this. During this time of the year when the water is in the low 50's, fish are still actively feeding. Figure out where the baitfish are holding/migrating to and you will likely find the bass. I have most of my best days this time of year during the warmest parts of the day. Squarebills, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim baits, poppers, buzzbaits (you get the picture) make up what I throw the most. If I'm out during a bright, sunny day I will beat that Jig into any timber/brush/rock in areas I know fish are moving to and do it relentlessly.

Update - Question/opinions: Getting Ready To Warranty Avid M For Ml Spinning
If I could do it all over again, every spinning rod I own would be a variant of the MLXF st croix. The MXF is a good rod but the only time I use a spinning rod are times when the ML is ideal. Plus they are just so much more fun to fish with.

1000 Size Reels For Bass
I use 1000 size Stradics for bass all the time. It's actually the only size spinning reel I use. I have hauled in 25 pound carp on a medium light spinning rod and 25 feet of water in the fall walleye fishing with them… You'll be perfectly fine

Tach Off?
I'm a little stumped. My tach is off by 300-400 adter getting on plane. It idles at exactly where it is suppsed to (700). Idel speed is the same. Gets on plane at the same RPM it had been. No loss of power. 2 gps readings give out im still hitting max mphbut around 4.9 it's off. Max rpm (was 550o-5600) now im hitting 5200 ish at max. No loss of power or mph..the only thing ive done between outings is top off power trim/tilt (correct omc kind) .thoughts? I should add if it matters the boat is a Ranger 482 and has 2 separate gas tanks on the port and starboard side more often than not I keep the same amount of gas in each and then use one to run down river and the other to run up river. Today I left one at about half or a little under half and I filled the one that was on The driver side fo The driver side full. What an unbalanced load with that much gas cause that? Probably not just a shot in the dark. The boat doesn't run any different and still idols and runs perfectly smooth so if I shouldn't worry about it let me know it's just something different to get used to. I use seafoam and startron run in every single tank of gas and always get ethanol free Johnson 91' 175 fast strike.
