Put backing in your reels and use 65-75 yards at a time. you arent cast 65 yards at a time. If you buy a 1000 yard spool and keep it in your room or in a closet, it will last for years....

Agree. Philly looked really good. Really wish Matthews(Jordan) would pick it up... Dallas is laughable at this point. Weeden is just hard to watch. He's a stud and should have a super productive career. Fun to watch, too.

Champ 765 is what you want if you dont go over 1oz punching. Anything over the 766 is better. DX795 is an amazing punch rod though for all sizes.

Make sure the line gyide cap is tight. The pawl is located under the cap and if it isnt secure it wont line up or move in sync with the line guide....or your pawl is worn out.

I actually own the Xtreme 69mlxf spinning rod and the older LTB and used to have the avid. I think the Xtreme is noticably "crisper" vs the LTB counter than the LTB to the avid if that makes sense. I can't say enough good thinks about the Xtreme 69mlxf. The SCV blank is fantastic and feels right up there /w my NRXs. Hands down the best(and favorite) spinning rod I own

How do you like it so far relative to your DX704? What's the balance like /w a 6oz(ish) reel? I looked at the DSR but man....that EMTF....I want...I think.

depends on how you palm your reel. it dug into my ring finger really bad.

Its trigger digs in. It creates the most awkward palming of a reel. it's the most uncomfortable piece of garbage ever concocted.
