Yeah I haven't seen talapia in ponds since I lived in Tampa bay. Too cold even in north florida to sustain a population.
  4. What park where u at? JCP? Don't care for specifics, general neighborhood is all I am wondering.
  5. So what did you entice them with?
  6. Lightning rod or BPS graphite series.
  7. I agree 12-14# is what u want however my brand of choice is sufix, siege or elite both great lines. Worth the price of admission.
  8. You be south of Jax in march, St Johns river out of palakta, lake George, stick marsh among others. If your looking for something different Ocala national forrest has lots of hidden ponds to hike to.
  9. Black and yellow swirl is the best in the morning
  10. To echo what mark said, it doesn't get any better than a parent staying home to raise the kids. I have 4 little ones and my wife's a stay at home and home schools the oldest. It is hard on the wallet but better than someone else raising your kids. And hats off to the ones that stay home, it can get pretty crazy. I dont know how yall keep from going put of your mind sometimes. lol My rod purchase after i got my new reel for christmas went from$100 to $60-70 to wait until my b-day lol luckily I was given an old Berkely lightning that has surprisingly been a really decent and durable rod this far. It is all good though. If you do get a ghost rod, those look sweet. But to give you another idea the shimano Clarus is 79-89 and comes with a lifetime warranty. Happy shopping.
  11. Another pflueger fan here I own three different models all are worth the $. Great reels.
  12. Some y'all might have higher standards but Walmart some cheap ones that are ok some do have rough ish edges. The two I found best are water gremlin(best part made in USA from recycled lead) and bps has good value painted ones that are as nice as the SK tungsten but are lead.
  13. To answer you question yes it is a lifetime ban. He will go out like bonds, especially after this mess. No one wants this kinda of drama on a team. And while they are not role models for life, I remember being a kid setting my stance up like Cal, kids see how they play the game and think it is the right way to go about it. Their dad didnt play ball why listen to him any how. That's just my two cents.
  14. Nice fish! That pond looks awesome bet you'll get a few more tanks outta there
  15. If I am not mistaken while the same blank isn't the rage assembled in Mexico while the avid is state side? That is a difference there in attention to detail perhaps.
  16. Dang Lou you should chime in on this thread. maybe tell them why you have even more reason to choose an avid lol.....Oh wait I mean legend lolSorry I had to.
  17. Nice one, on a pit boss. You back down in FL?
  18. Man that is a nice fish, that is what it is about. Bet that made you grin ear to ear
  19. Went out this morning 6:30 to 7:50 first half hour threw a jig and no takers, probably fishing it a little too fast. Switch to a BPS lazer eye white/chart willow/Colorado spinnerbait fished it for about 30-40 got one bout 14-15" range. Thing that surprised me was how cold the fish was, then touched the water it was waaay chilly. Deffinately going to take a few to warm it back up. Sucky thing is I lost the spinnerbait, snagged a line or something. Threw a lipless. It felt so light, xr50 xcalibur, but it FLEW out there. Distance wise I can cast at least 25-35% farther with casting gear and this was farther. I also love the 7.0 great at lipless and spinnerbaits, bringing a jig in. Loving the quantum very much so far.
  20. Temp on dash right now is 62....back to normal aaaah!
  21. It is a fix blade on the hip or back pocket got tired of the flipping pocket knife lol....now I will admit a 3 or 4" blade is kinda rediculous looking but it works lol and I feel better about myself and that makes me sleep well at night cuz of it lmao. I am just kidding, I just never chose to get on as I am comfortable with my way. Just busting some balls with whippa. lol oh and Y'all's tool does have a neat belt clip lol
  22. Lol no it is all about blade placement put blade to knot and thumb on other side at an angle. Practice once you get it, lot faster than the snippers lol
  23. Nice post lmao!Try an esee izula II with sharpshooter sheath like butter! But my new Gerber fixed blade works fine too. And I got a little buck too, the super small one let me tell you the pins are placed soo nice and the blade edge is picture perfect.
  24. Dude I fish plastics 75% of the time at least and all my biggest fist came on them. A 22" inch on a 4" senko, 21.5" 6# 8oz on a trick worm, and numerous fish in the 18-20's on rattlesnakes and ribbon tails, incredicraws. It is all about finding your style and confidence. I throw frogs and haven't landed a dink yet and AK has caught whales on his. I use popr but only have success post spawn really before it gets hot. Lately I haven't been enough to tell you, I tore them up the other morning on a fat Albert grub. Figure out what you like fast, slow top or bottom and stick with it, it all will produce.
  25. depends how far they are on permits but if they break ground soon it can be done in a year. We did 86 acres of mass haul earth work in 3 months a little shopping center is do able.
