  1. Have u tried sawgrass park? On 62nd going from 9th just under 275 on the right. I never fished it when I lived there but there are a couple ponds and canals then the huge lake. We used to walk the trails all the time tho. Gators and otters so must be bass. I assume u can't fish from the board walk but the pond adjacent to the parking and walk the canal???
  2. Well tomorrow Warmer....slightly....I will grab the glass rod and jerkbait see if that blows their skirt up and since I haven't thrown a suspending in a looong time

Same here. Had mine marked delivered on a Monday by wed I called they made a big to do and opened a case next day on Thursday it showed up. Don't get the point of being charged for tracking and delivery conf. If the tracking is wrong( the lady told me the seasonal employees often enter the wrong code) and how is leaving it in a mail box confirming it??? Then u go with fedx or ups and they just leave the stuff on your porch without a sig. The customer service has gone to the crapper.
  4. It was 25 this morning here. Absolutely the coldest I have been in two years.
  5. 25 this morning on the dashboard therm. Made it to the pond lasted about 10-15 minutes Ice all over guides, line and reel...this is florida really I had flash backs to winter fishing in va
  6. I would agree the T3 is about the best deal for a reel around, if your serious about $100 the pflueger supreme casting reel might be an option ......if you can swing 80-100 for a rod your possibilities are almost limitless. In addition to the above mentioned you could go Shimano, St Criox, BPS Carbonlite, Daiwa, Falcon, Kistler...the list could go on.
  7. Well I will sleep in for an hour and go nose around the pond at the shopping center down the road since it is only a stones thrown. I know what can be had but I also know how hard you need to work to get at them too lol I figure they all will be huddle down right in the middle...toss a jig in there...like shooting fish in a barrell right
  8. Would any of y'all go out in the am? Thinking about tossing a jig or jerk bait just for a little while I mean what is the worst that could happen I catch a fish or a cold right? Lol or is it a dumb idea
  9. I use my Abu cardinal 563s ocasionaly now on their 6' m/f conolon rods had them since i was probably 8 yrs old so they are going on 25 years and I learned bait casting reels just this past year on my buddies Abu ambasseduer ultra mag I. It is a tank, built solid with the funny little button to release the spool.
  10. Not up here any more lol they are shivering trying to keep from hybernating
  11. They are great reels I own 3 different models of pflueger spinning reels, one is a president. You will be very happy with it and have it for years to come if you don't abuse it.
  12. I run a 35 and a 40 size spinning reel and with 30# braid (equal to 8# mono) I can get 200 yds on the 40. If your using 10# braid for $ sake I would use mono backing. For bass I use backing, if you fill it half way with backing and set drag properly you will never get close to the mono but for salt I follow what snook said and spool all braid. I use uni to uni to connect backing.

Lol my wife said the same thing! But I told her, hey they cook it after everyone touches it. Cooking in china is a means of sterilization not because they like hit food

  22. I am with Jfranco on this one....Daiwa, Rapala or xcalibur are in the same neigbor hood price wise with 10x better hooks that I have purchased imo. I stick with those.
