  1. X2 on the carbonlite. I have a President XT on my carbonlite, 6'6" MH F....I love it. My 2 cents worth is that the Carbonlite will be the lightest most sensative rod at that price. Which will fit perfect for the light wieght patriarch. Or do what Fly said and get an Avid used.
  2. Yeah man, they are here LOL....I got a fat sunfish on a rattlesnake once, I think I drug it through her bed....and the rest we catch on all sorts of things mini cranks, rooster tails, grubs, crappie nibbles, but the neighborhood pond is void of bass. The bigger ones in the ponds with bass are deffinitely harder to catch and I mostly catch them by accident. The law school had some big ones, so does that pond by the cemetery on race track. Never seen one this dark though.
  3. It is the same one...But you should see the ones out of the pond in my neighbor hood. The bigger ones look like this You can see stripes and the face is redish not blue....So the dark one live is not more than a couple miles from my house where the light one lives. I don't know what is up, different strains or species
  4. Finally figured it out....had to clean the attachments out. Here is the pb bluegill And CapitolIP if your out there you know where I got both the bass and this guy. The culvert we talked about and if you find blue handled rusty pliers they are mine LOL
  5. Makes me think of the movie everything imluminated.....Did you have kango hat and a dog sammy davis junior junior?.......Or Euro Trip....Bratislava LOL
  6. Man this thing is not letting me upload my pic, keeps saying out of disk space? WTH
  7. My trouble is I am shore bound and getting to the spots are time consuming in itself. LOL I know I need to make more of an effort, I was watching flats class last night, I want to get into anything, flounder, trout, reds...But I just have to tell the wife and kids I am going and ignore them for at least half a day....One of these days That is why bass fishing is nice, I can be to some decent waters in less than 5 minutes.
  8. Thanks for the input fellas. I just wanted to hear explinations from some seasoned anglers, and I wasn't sure if you all believed there were big fish in disney or not. But I concur, especially on the part about the guide taking you to beds or staging areas, as the time I used them they were definitely gear to numbers.
  9. You fish for them from shore or boat?
  10. So I finally got on the board this morning. Cold front low 60's and a 1/16 oz t-rigged centipede. 15" was all he was good for also landed a dink on this setup. Switched to this xcalibur crank, kinda like a bomber fat free with the holo finish baby bass color, and threw that for a little. Land this nice bluegill it would be my PB by far and another dink before losing my pliers and looking around aimlessly wasting time.
  11. You been chasing them reds any? My boss showed me a photo of his brother and dad on the river, said that caught a bunch over slot up to high 30's on live crabs in the deep holes.
  12. WOW looks like something you would purchase at a tackle shop in Amsterdam?!?!
  13. It is about time he lives up to the reputation LOL
  14. MCS replied to AK-Jax86's topic in Everything Else
AK u are from Jersey the traffic here is 100 times better than the DC metro or the NYC metro areas. Quit complaining and enjoy it. Lol
  15. Topwater then....Flip a creature to the docks, culverts, any trees etc. then work a soft swimbait or Texas rig. That is just me...the rest (what bait, weight and size or weightless) all depends.
  16. Well play by AKs rules...Lou put me down for an unofficial 70". Feel that bump Martin? That was you sliding down a spot. Ooooh How's the view from behind, Martin? .......now I just gotta catch some fish.... Tomorrow is my day. You guys wait n see.....to be continued.
  17. AK I bet they will gaurd that lake like the gold(if there is any left) at for knox. Dogs and snipers you ain't getting on that BPS lake unless you pay the piper $$$$$$$$$$ lol
  18. Supposed to be a 14 acre lake I believe...There is no agreement on paper yet between BPS and the County as far as I have heard, nor any plans in. Who knows. They need that exit finished first, and they are blow'n N goin on that but that is still a couple years away......As far as BPS goes, I dislike as I do with most stores, their limited selection. All they are good for is Rods, line and hooks. Reels and plastics are better found elsewhere.
  19. We talking about snakes or fish.....I got to say the same for up here, these ponds that are in preservation areas or in parks are very well setup and maintained.
  20. LMG and LOU keep telling me about those Booyah frogs!!! I think I am gonna have to add them to the wish list.
  21. Helluva hookset! Nice work......Funny story my brotherinlaw told me. He took his wife out trout fishing for the first time and her first fish on she set the hook like a bass or snook and all she got was a set of lips.
  22. Nice fish man! Lake Ivanhoe, man that place looks like it holds fish. My son loves to say the name when we drive past. What did you catch it on?
  23. Sounds like you got your priorities all figured out man.LOL...I took the whole family to the bluegill pond across the street and my little girl was bugging the boys for turns on their rods....Looks like I am in for a trip to BPS where I come back with nothing for myself.
  24. Even in the morning like day break/low light?....
