  1. It is like that at most spots around here. Personally my best luck in these cases were a 2-4" curly tail grubt on a light 1/16 or 1/8 jig head. salt/pepper, black, smoke, black with chart tail, white.....But your not gonna win the comp like that though. The big gals don't chase bait, they let it come to them....But it is a blast with my son or on light gear.....Sometimes throwing something through them(I mean vertically falling through - top to bottom) like a fluke, senko or creature, with persistence you can get a strike. The stragglers on the bottom under usually are bigger fish too.
  2. x2 On this. It was deffinately my expereince here in FL, much easier to pull numbers of bigger fish post spawn, though they were slender and probably not as big as they were pre.
  3. Didnt think igloos had plumbing lol
  4. Yeah Raider you might not want to pack those, they will turn into fish-sickles in a second.
  5. Did he say anything about the snakeskin handbag?
  6. LOL That is how I roll too. Got the knee high muck boots, shirt and slacks. Perfect for hitting a spot on the way in or at lunch

If those don't work out for you check out Bitters Bait and Tackle they make a lure, the naked swimmer, that is pretty close too in all kinds of colors, and cheaper than BPS version.
  8. U n LMG ran a little obstacle course to get into the lake lol so why not?
  9. Well I got a email from my buddy said he landed an 18"er as I was walking to my car, got a couple 15-16" and then landed the biggest, a 4 pounder at around 7:45. all on shim-e sticks...green pumpkin red flake. Man the Clock roll back cannot come soon enough, maybe then I can put up some stats in Nov.
  10. I will go with NY style for my top choice. I been to NYC and had legit pizza there, nothing better IMO
  11. I would have to say that it would be a river to go small mouth fishing. I would go with the Snake River because it is a different area of the US I have not been and different scenery.
  12. Pflueger is the way to go. Best spinning reels for the money. Can't be beat! President, Purist, Supreme, and Patriarch, whatever fits the budget. I own 3 different models all are built solid and work great. The revamped Mitchell lineup looks very nice, has eye appeal, and supposed to be very nice performance according to early reviews.
  13. Yeah cuz now I am fishing in the d**n dark. LOL 6:45 I see a faint glow and 7 when I head in the sun is up and fish are splashing....Well not the last two mornings, think they must of slept in.
  14. Nice work man, glad to see you stuck out your tough month or two now you got a solid top 10 eyed up this comp. It is funny though to see, you had a rough summer, and I did ok. Now the roles are reversed. Each angler has their own strengths and at some point in the year they will shine. Mine just ain't Sept or Oct. LOL
  15. Man, I know yall down south are hoping cooler temps spur them on but I am afraid it is gonna be too cold up here. They are talking 45 as the low. Rigging up my DB minnow, wish I had the color I want but it will do. Action again this morning was saaaalllloooooooow. Not much bait chaisng last two outings. On miss near a culvert and about 10 minutes later it BLEW UP on something. buddy landed a little guy on a trick worm. He did say he had a decent afternoon the other day monday or tuesday. Can't wait for the time change, get me an hour of day light!
  16. U shoulda tried the pflueger patriarch caster ...that looks like a thing of beeeeeauty. Lol. What can I sayI like blue better than red ....Just had to give a little ribbing there lol But seriously the new tatulas look nice, especially the type r. Their price is definitely right, south of 200, but I really like the look of the rods, they are saaaawweeeet.
  17. Nice! U ever see the flats class episodes on Vimeo. Love watching those.
  18. Nope Russians stole it along with the Poles liberty and freedom and we got reverse Polish notation on the old school HP calculators....before TI hit the scene lol
  19. I know buddy Voda....because it is like water right....but I have to get my jabs in some how you are killing me on the charts this month
  20. I thought they had a t shirt promo going on? Why you don't want to sport your NEW brands logo on your chest lol
  21. First it was two timing on your first mate with Lou and now your two timing on your beloved sheemano WOW LMG your really sewing your wild oats!! I hope Johnnie Walker wasn't doing the thinking for ya like he was for ol Martin last night LOL....where is martin? Still sleeping that one off ???LOL......If your wife complains tell her at least you got a free t shirt
  22. I believe the whole story about that is the guy was kayaking with his dog, a little yorkie, on his lap. The Gator was trying to get lunch not the guy or the kayak. With out a reason they really won't attack. Now IMO it is more dangerous to shore fish because if you unknowingly come up on a momma gator gaurding young or a nest your in a heap of trouble. http://www.sportfishingmag.com/news/gator-attacks-fisherman-kayak
  23. Nice fish Dsidle, congrats on the PB. Who naps around here AK? LOL I am all about the morning though, sleep or not.
  24. What did you all catch your fish on? Details, we got to know the details LOL
