  1. A good book anyone interested in reading is "the American pitbull terrier" by Richard Stratton. He actually did 2 books on the bred I am talking about the second one with the OFRN on the cover. It is a great book that explains history, traits, sporting history etc. about the breed.
  2. Not quite, the American Pitbull Terrier was always about dog vs dog....since the 1890s Colby's been running them the longest. The bullbaiting ended in England long before, apbts are descendants of Staffordshires which look nothing like the KC dogs today, but think Joe Mallen and Gentleman Jim. The dogs used here as plantation dogs were American Bulldogs....there is a debate on what they leaned towards the mastiff traits(Johnson am bulls) or the slimmer type with a longer muzzle (Scott's type) the some prefer them with even more terrier type traits and they are Old Southern Whites. Not trying start a debate but highlight the vast uniqueness of the bully breeds that came to and were born here in the United States.
  3. Amen brother, if more people only thought like you(us) lol U got a beautiful ambull..,I had a J-type that was NKC top half was heavy MGK Brahma the Bull and Hines and bottom was a lot of Johnson and Something Specil Kennels dogs...fat boy slim. He was only male for sale and must been the runt the others stated in GA and I only saw a female pup and mine he turned out smaller, 90 pounds. I gave him to a friend when I sold my house. I have a mutt from the pound she is a good dog, with the temperament of a true bulldog(apbt) I love apbts that maintain the essence of the true game dog and stick with folks and bloodlines that lean that way.

  5. I do remember I think I had wisniak before. It is the sweet cherry liqueur right?
  6. You gotta get a good knife buddy...a kabar or esee.... quickest way inst a bat or decapitating. It is one good poke right through the head. But bat is the lease gruesome, knock them out and the suffocate.

  15. Nice work....I faced the same thing when I moved down here. It is challenging but once you figure it out it will be rewarding. Keeping at it is the only way to get better and getting through a season or two and learning the patterns in the area is what really helps.
  16. You may want to check out the Pflueger Supreme XT casting reels, they are black and orange, same price as the new quantum energy. If you are hesitent base on quantums quality questions, the reviews and comments about the pflueger BC reels are they are underrated, and worth every penny. They are on my "next reel list" for sure.
  17. So you have the opposite problem I do, mine is with things above and you lose your gear below. LOL Now I don't feel so bad at least mine was just a lure......
  18. ^^ Good suggestion....I have a president and a president XT and the XT is my favored. Sealed drag and a little smoother.
  19. My buddy has a Energy 2 models ago and I just picked up an Energy PT VI, the one the current orange model replaced. My buddies is a solid reel and has no problems. He likes his Revo STX better as it casts a little further in his opinion. I haven't used mine much, it is small, smooth and heard good things about them. If your not set on the newer model you can pick this version up on TW for 100 bucks. I hear the smoke is the BEST though, but I am not a fan of the graphics on it. I would get one if the price is right.
  20. Martin might have a side trip planned with another angler LMG. I wouldnt feel too bad for him he always has his buddy Johnnie Walker he can talk to if he gets lonely lol
  21. Wow that is a haul...Living up in Northern Va during college and then moving back a couple years ago I had to do commutes like that IT SUCKs...I got spoiled living in cities like Las Vegas, St. Pete and Jax LOL anything over 30 is a no go.
