I run a 35 size pflueger templar and a 40 size President XT. They came with two spools, one spool with 30# braid and another with 10# pound mono, 12 pound won't be a problem. Great reels for the price, there are 3 models of Pfluegers in your price range.

Nice fish, good info. Glad to see u got into some and stuck with us even when u weren't. I will see my boss from work(most of the guys) is a gator but he is an old cracker, if he knows a secret spot or tips. Also where were u at that lake looked nice?

Alright Lou and LMG I picked up a booyah padcrasher jr in cricket frog. Threw it from 5:45 til about 6:50 has three missed strikes all before 6 am. waited a few seconds pulled in the slack and felt nothing. didn't even feel like they bumped the frog. But aint too worried I will get it down another time or two. It was fun tho see why yall like it. But anyway me likes it, walks super easy and very good action. Do either of you trim the skirts? Biggest complaint was wind knots in braid. I had 3 this morning and only one over the past month since I been using it. I assume it is the slack line reeling vs when I fish texas rig it is not so much. Any way to help eliminate this? So LMG I saw u spooled with 12# yozuri to do topwater do you fish frogs with it? If I upped it to like 14 or 17# could I use it instead of braid? Why do you get 12, knots strength, it gets stiffer when you up dia?

Me and him had the same problem, the computer genius had to get the aid of a mod lol....it is in your settings, the everything else area has his thread...it took me look at my posts yesterday lol maybe 2 or 3 hours to figure it out
