Dobyns advice
I was using the champion 735 I broke as a frog rod. I just read where some people use it being a 5 power for 3/4 oz jigs. A friend of mine said to go with the 764. Now I can't decide. What I don't like is a rod that feels like a broom stick, but I like a sensitive rod to feels the bottom while dragging jigs, just not too giving. It's a tough choice since I can't feel them in person.

Broke my 735 and gonna change to a jig rod. Which rod for 3/4 oz football jigs, DC 744C or DC 764C?

Your favorite pliers to keep in boat?
Looking for a good pair of all-in-one pliers to keep in my boat that will cut braid, open up spilt rings, etc. What is your favorite for under $40?

Swimbaits in smaller lakes
The rain forced me to stay at home this weekend so it will be next week before I get to try any swim baits out. In the mean time, being forced to stay indoors caused me to order a Matt Lures soft shad swimbait and a Live Target shad swimbait. Now I'm looking at the Matt Lures bluegill.

I just didn't know how good the hook sets are with the weedless one, but it's just what I need. This will be my first to try out. Now got to decide what rate of fall I need.

Swimbaits in smaller lakes
Lots of good info here. Do you guys prefer the regular colors or the phantom? Also a few of the lakes I fish has tons of flooded timber in it. Was thinking of trying the Huddleston 68 weedless so I won't get hung up or would you get the regular model?

Swimbaits in smaller lakes
I fish a lot of smaller lakes from 100 to 1000 acres. some of these lakes have some giant bass in them that are normally only caught on live bait. What swimbait would you recommend trying to try and catch some of these toads?

Gopro hardwired to boat battery
No, but I can wire one in. I also saw they sell a battery eliminator for GoPro's. Guess I'll price the options and see what cheaper and easier

Gopro hardwired to boat battery
Batteries don't last long. What do I need to wire it so it uses power from my boat battery?

Football Jig
I just started really fishing a football head jig. I went out Saturday and used a V&M Cliff Pace 3/4 oz. I caught 5 on it. It was a blast! I was making long cast onto a point and dragging it with my rod tip to the side of the boat, always keeping contact on the bottom.
