  1. Thanks for the advice everyone.
  2. I was using the champion 735 I broke as a frog rod. I just read where some people use it being a 5 power for 3/4 oz jigs. A friend of mine said to go with the 764. Now I can't decide. What I don't like is a rod that feels like a broom stick, but I like a sensitive rod to feels the bottom while dragging jigs, just not too giving. It's a tough choice since I can't feel them in person.
  3. Broke my 735 and gonna change to a jig rod. Which rod for 3/4 oz football jigs, DC 744C or DC 764C?
  4. I prefer using Raising Cane's chicken fingers, just takes a bigger hook.
  5. Looking for a good pair of all-in-one pliers to keep in my boat that will cut braid, open up spilt rings, etc. What is your favorite for under $40?
  6. The rain forced me to stay at home this weekend so it will be next week before I get to try any swim baits out. In the mean time, being forced to stay indoors caused me to order a Matt Lures soft shad swimbait and a Live Target shad swimbait. Now I'm looking at the Matt Lures bluegill.
  7. I use to like Ganns, but they are no longer available. Now I am using Pepper.
  8. I like it
  9. I have a Dobyns 806cb. A powell max 735 frog rod and a Dobyns 735c. Can I get by with one of these?
  10. Rat 50 came in today. It will be next week before I can try it out. Gotta decide which rod I'm gonna use to launch that baby.
  11. Just looked at the Matt Lures Strong Shad. Man that thing looks real, but it is pricey.
  12. I can't wait to try out the rat and the 68. Hopefully next week. I can also see where this can get real expensive
  13. Buckjunkie changed their profile photo
  14. Thanks guys! To start out, I'm gonna get the Spro Rat 40 and the Huddleston 68 weedless.
  15. Would you get the 5 or 12 ROF?
  16. I just didn't know how good the hook sets are with the weedless one, but it's just what I need. This will be my first to try out. Now got to decide what rate of fall I need.
