  1. That MS MJ Herring in 115 does look good. So does that Ghost Minnow. They all look good. Guess I just need to pick one and go with it.
  2. Anyone have the MS Ghost Chartreuse Shad? I'm liking the looks of that one.
  3. Looking to get one and only one. What color and size would you get?
  4. I sure will. Can't wait to try it out!
  5. Well I just got offered a good deal on a Champion 734 to good to pass up. Champion it is. Thanks
  6. Looking to get a Dobyns 734 to use for spinnerbaits and skinney dippers. Is the champion series worth the extra money? Also I'm looking for a good deal. Thanks
  7. Looking for a rod to double as a Skinney Dipper and spinnerbait rod. $150 max. Thanks
  8. I actually made a few Jika rigs a couple years ago and never tried them out.
  9. Thanks. I'm gonna give them a try. Wonder how they do with 10" worms and would it be better to drag up or down a ledge?
  10. Now that they have been out a while, any tips on, hook size, weight, best plastic to rig on it,etc? Ordered a couple 1/2 and 3/4oz on 4/0 hooks from ebay.
  11. I was looking at getting myself. Let us know how they do.
  12. Fished this past Friday and Saturday. Caught some on a deep point with DD22's Friday morning and some on spinner baits. Saturday was tough after the ran , but managed to catch some nice ones on swim baits.
  13. Going to the bend this weekend. We're staying at Holly Park Marina. Where is a good place to eat in the general area?
  14. I saw Edwin Evers catching some big bass on a hollow belly swimbait with a big weighted hook. He was fishing it deep hopping it off the bottom. E was using it in place of a deep diving crankbait. What swimbaits and colors do you like and what weight hook should i use? Can i use the solid body style like the Big Dipper for this?
  15. I've never fished one. A little too big for me. I like the Skinney Dipper. Let us know how you like them.
  16. I'm gonna give the Bluegill color a try. I've never fished any other color than white or chartreuse.
  17. Gonna order a couple. What are the hot colors? 3/8 or 1/2 oz? Advantages one size over the other?
  18. These are the 7". I'll try a 6/0 hook. I heard they "slaughter " the bass at Falcon a Lake on these.
  19. What size hooks are you using? Have any of you had any luck fishing them with weights? Also, have you tried the "Petey" rig?
  20. My buddy and I fished Sunday and caught 60 on spinner baits, DD 22's and 6XD's. Caught about 30 on one point on the crankbaits. It was so much fun. We caught them every cast until we lost all of our crank baits on timber. Fished yesterday and caught about 30 on spinner baits and rattletraps. The wind and rain got us down, but we caught fish after all.
  21. What hook are you guys using for this?
  22. Just got my Xcite worms in. Man these are some big worms! Just gotta locate the fish now and give them a try.
  23. Just got my hands on a Daiwa Bradia 3000. I hope I didn't mess up. Is this too big of a reel for fishing a Shakey Head rig? It seems a little heavy.
  24. When is the best time to try this presentation?
  25. Thanks. I'll take a look. Would Carrice Creek be worth looking at? I see it isn't too far from Patroon. Apparently I'm fishing the wrong part of the lake. Every post I see is about Housen or Six Mile. The first time I went to Toledo Bend, we stayed in the midlake area and that's all I know.
