Just picked up a Shimano Nasci 2500 reel today. Looking for a rod to use for drop shotting that won't break the bank. I will mainly be casting and dragging the rig. Any recommendations?

Caught a few keepers this morning. Only pattern we can get on is pitching behind the hay grass with a watermelon red senko so that makes the areas you can fish very limited.

Tough morning. Fished Indian Mounds. 1 keeper on baby brush hog. Thinking of hitting Housen or 6 Mile after lunch.

Fished in Housen for first time today. Very windy. We caught two small bass on baby brush hogs. We are not familiar with south lake. Do you guys think it would be worth fighting the wind at Indian Mounds in the morning or go elsewhere?

Driving per there now. Staying at Fin and Feather. W'ell be in a white Toyota Tundra and silver and green Skeeter. Hope this wind don't ruin our trip. I'll keep y'all posted.

Hello all. Haven't been on in a while. Headed over to Fin and Feather in 10 days. A couple questions for you guys Are the roads and bridges ok to get there coming from Louisiana side? How much will the lake level recede by then? How should we start fishing? Shallow I'm guessing? Thanks

Never thought I would pay that much for a rod, but as good as everyone speaks of them, I had to try one.

Got my new Dobyns Champion 734c in today. Got a good deal $195, thanks to someone on here. Tied on a spinnerbait and played around in the yard. Man I like this rod. Glad I went with the Champ. Thanks for the advice.
