The father in law fishes pretty much exclusively with rooster tails and he's manning the trolling motor lol. So flipping would be pretty difficult. But I'll attempt something similar tomorrow

I'm down here on lake Haines at the in laws house and we have been catching a few but not anything spectacular. Just curious what's been working down here for everyone else?

Mine sucked, the drag system just stopped working after 2 fishing trips. I returned it and got a Pro Qualifier.

BPS Pro Qualifier is the best reel you can get for less than $100, IMO.

I have a 6'10" extreme with a quantum energy pt on it and I love it, caught a 4 1/2 lb bass on it the other day and it handled it extremely well. I also have a pro qualifier on a 7' carbon lite and love it as well. You really can't go wrong with either rod. Just see how both of them feel to you when you go to the store and pick the one you like better. You won't be dissapointed.
