  1. I have a PG series and it hasn't given me any problems
  2. KVD L&L gets my vote, the stuff came from heaven.
  3. Awesome, anyone else have any feedback?
  4. Does anyone have an experience with the Lews BB2? I searched for reviews but couldn't find any... Thinking about picking one up for a-rigs and swimbaits, I have a BB1 and love it... The BB2 seems to be pretty much the same reel just with a deeper spool for line capacity, but anyones input would be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. IMO your gonna want something with a little stretch for the cranks
  6. If you spend a couple hours in the next week reading various threads posted here you should get a pretty good understanding of what rod actions/power are good for what. If your looking to upgrade I would suggest a MHF( medium Heavy Power/Fast Action) rod in the $100 price range and that could do just about anything
  7. I've never had many issues backlashing since I started using baitcasters but since you are try something a little cheaper to get use to a bait caster I think suffix siege would be a good start. Use something with a high line diameter. Its easier to cast. I would suggest either 14lb if you can get away with it or 12lb
  8. The reason I want to use 10 is bc I throw dropshots and shakey heads around some heavier cover and don't really feel comfortable using 7lb Basically just wondering if I spool it correctly and use kvd l&l am I going to run into major issues?
  9. I was wondering if 10lb sniper would work well on a 2500 series shimano symetere? Will the line jump off the spool or get a ton of line twist being a higher lb test? I believe the line is .0102 diamater and the 7lb is .0093 Is the .0009 really going to make that much of a difference?
  10. The skirts on the z man chatter baits were a major downfall for me. They always slide off. Not gonna have that problem with these!
  11. Just got an order in from them and these jigs and chatter baits look like they are most definitely gonna be fish producers! Can't wait to try them out this weekend Here's a pic of my order
  12. Ill definitely look that up when I get home, thanks for the feedback, I appriciate it!
  13. Do you have to put grease on your drag? I feel like I heard someone say that somewhere along the line, could be wrong though.
  14. Either this or a bps PQ with a veritas. Good way to figure out if you like the centrifugal or magnetic brakes better for when you upgrade(the bait monkey will strike).
  15. I actually took the reel apart to the bare frame. Only thing that gave me issues was getting the clutch mechanism(I think that's what its called) back together right. Took me a few tries but I got it. The little springs are tricky to maneuver around with tension on them. What grease would you recommend that could probably be had at a local tackle shop?
  16. The endurance series are excellent bottom contact rods. Very sensitive
  17. I guess im the oddball. I use suffix siege in 12-14lb depending on how deep I want the bait to run. I like the stretch of mono for trebel hook baits.
  18. You could a good lineup of a mixture of Powell Endurance, Max, Inferno and Diesel's for that much
  19. I watched all 3 parts of the video before I took mine apart. I didn't follow along as I was taking mine apart tho, I'm to impatient. I would highly suggest those videos to anyone who wants to learn how to clean their own reels.
  20. I've been using p line and this thread made me curious. So I just ordered some yo zuri hybrid and Silver thread Excalibur. Can't wait to try them out
  21. Thanks! I'll definitely remember that. Are all reels setup pretty much the same on the inside?
