  1. I havent had any problems leaving them on jigs/chatterbaits.. just dont mix with other plastics as stated.
  2. I would have a jig, t-rig, squarebill all tied on in that situation
  3. Your weed guards on the jigs are probably keeping you from driving the hook home as stated above. Try cutting the weed guard before you spend money on a new rod, and if that doesn't work then I would buy some jigs made with high quality hooks
  4. You can pitch with any reel... Spinning or casting
  5. The Lews Team Gold Carbon reels are good as well... as stated before, anything in that price range its going to be hard to go wrong.
  6. Yeah, IMO you can get a better Reel in your price range if you expand the color horizon...
  7. Aesthetically my endurance is my favorite rod lol
  8. I like mine to match, since I'm paying quite a bit of money for it I prefer it to match
  9. This guy gets it
  10. So glad I have a carport and no HOA
  11. Yes its great line, used the same spool all last season on my dropshot rod, only broke one off, and it was more my fault than the lines fault.
  12. I use a lews BB2 for my a rigs and swimbaits, I think they can be had on that auction website for around the price you mentioned.
  13. I dont think youll find a better rod in the price range
  14. My opinion would be to go with the tourney pro, has enough line capacity for most bass applications. If you eventually get into buying specific setups, I don't throw cranks with anything other than a BB1
  15. What are you going to be using the reel for?
  16. I got it figured out. Thanks for the help Wayne
  17. #1 - I'm not sure. I'll check tonight #2 - it should be but I will check that tonight also
  18. So last night I was outside messing around in my new to me boat and decided to get the electronics out to see if i could learn some more about them. I have a 898 and a raymarine dragonfly 7, the dragonfly is at the bow and powered on fine, no problem. But when I tried to power on the 898 it wouldnt come on. I have no idea how the wires are ran to the unit and plan on checking it out once I get off work but was just looking for some suggestions on simple things it could be...? I checked all the connections on the battery and they all seemed fine... I havent charged the cranking battery since I got it 3 weeks ago, but its a brand new battery and I havent ran the boat yet. Im going to get a voltmeter tonight to check if the power cord going to the unit is getting power since I need one anyway. So does anyone have any simple things it could be? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  19. Another vote for 12 lb hybrid. Just make sure you don't use your teeth to cut it
  20. x2 One big factor in this is also the cost of mono, because I change the line I use for my treble hook baits quite often, a lot cheaper than braid/flouro
