Is it ok to have just 1 break locked on a baitcast reel & 5 off ? One break on & 5 off .

I'd Love to have one to,when i was the only one with a boat getting a brother to go was no problem they came to me. Now that they have boats they don't know me, And Yes i said " My Brothers " I have everything but Know How .

I was running my boat around 50 To 60 MPH and the boat was running smooth,got up to 68 to 70 MPH & it started rocking left & right ,what adjustment do i need to make to smooth it back out & the lake was smooth to no waves ? GodBless Thanks

Our water temp is at 73 degree where are we at in the spawn,it seems like they never hit the banks here ?

I retired a few months ago i was gonna fish the Spawn but i ended up with my boat in the shop for a minor repair & it ended up being 3 weeks so i missed the early part of the Spawn.Water temp is 73 degree early,I have everything i need but know how.I deeply desire to learn to fish, I was in Church learning about God not fishing. With the water temp at 73, You back your boat into the water & what would you do to get Old Buck Mouth ? GodBless & Thanks

Thanks to everyone for all the help. Its a 1999, and sometimes the starter kicks out right out as soon as you turn it over& over & over,it can't start because of that,At times it rolls over real good & it fires real good. Boat been in the shop and it runs real good up to 68 MPH its just hard to start at times. Its probably is me if i can figure out what i'm doing different . I bought it,i will wear it if it rains i've got rain gear. But one problem i do have is i hang my rod handle in the opening, but it beats drowning. And my wife didn't fuss about me buying it,she says she fells safer now that i got it & i wear it. If it sounds like i'm getting Smart about what i said ,i'm not at all . Thanks for your help,if i have a problem i'll try to upgrade later. GodBless

I have a 225 Johnson with carburetors and at times it is hard to start when i put it in the water,any ideals at what positions to put the motor where it would start the best ? What i mean is all the way down,or the motor level ,it always starts but at times it makes you wonder is it going to start or not . And when it finally starts the problem is over, i do use my choke, & i pump my bulb as hard as i can get it & with both hands . Any ideals will help,i always have to wonder will it start or not . I just got my first Auto life vest,it's a Onyx A 24 , i weigh about 170 lbs ,did i make a good choice ?

About 2 weeks ago,on rock,bait was a LuckyCraft 1.5 in a shad color,looked like about 7 lbs,lost him about half way to the boat,i don't think i set the hook good enough i just pulled,did't hit him hard . Live & lurn . GodBless

Whats the difference between Coast guard approved & noncoast guard approved lifevest , .I fell out of the boat fishing & i wanted to get one of those Automatic lifevest to ware while i'm fishing & the nonapproved is cheaper & i also have a full lifevest that is coastguard Approved, but it would be hard to fish in a full lifevest. I just got a price on replacing the carpet in my 20 ft Triton, carpet i ask for a good avg grade nothing fancy just avg, the price was $ 1800.00, is that as high as i think it is? I can't afford that, and i'm broke down, bad knee's & a steel plate in my back .Has anyone had their replaced ?

I've been fishing twice now not having much luck but i did loose a Big one today,and fell out of the boat & had to leave, " Thank You Lord for keeping me safe " If i said i was lucky i'd be a lying, & might drown next time,which i hope their not a next time. Swimjig trailor ,What works best for you ,trailor or no trailor ? Also same question on chatterbait, trailor or no trailor ? i just don't have no luck on swimjigs ,anyone got any advice on what to throw,i catch one here & there but thats it.Went Monday & not a bite on a swimjig but did good on a squarebill,& i know their days they don't want a swimjig but for me its every time.Any advice on color of swimjig & type of trailor & color .
