  1. Cool video dude!!
  2. PM Capt Shane. If I remember correctly he has in the past recommened two guys that work on boats.
  3. Yes, they are very much worth it IMHO. They can with stand punishment from bass and the hooks are Daiichi's which are some very sturdy and needle sharp hooks.
  4. Globalchaos, there are miles and miles to fish on the alley. Do you have a boat? If you do there are several ramps on the alley itself. Its one of the hottest places to be fishing right now.
  5. Yeah, do not mix unless you are doing an art project.
  6. Delphi_boyz I here what your saying. Some people know how to gauge fish weight pretty good. Others are way, way, off.
  7. Only 9lbs 11oz. That's funny. Many of us may not see that in our lifetimes at the end of our lines.
  8. Ultimately, its your call. However if you are fishing tournaments already you should get well acquainted with a b/c. They excel in certain applications over a spinner. JMHO.
  9. Looks like a 3lb. Nice catch either way. Its a rod bender.
  10. The truth is your to busy catching big bass and you don't have time for us. ( just kidding!!!) .
  11. Great Thread. We get so caught up in our sport that we sometimes forget the basics as far as safety, and we think nothing can happen. Thanks for the info.
  12. Sad news indeed. I enjoyed his books and contribution to the sport. RIP.
  13. I will give it a shot. Why not? I am in.
  14. Alberto and Albright will do fine. I have to experience with J knot.
  15. Went out to alligator alley today at MM35 and had a blast. We fished mainly frogs and caught them left and right. Caught about 40 fish and called it a day later in the afternoon. Nice bass starting making their presence known however there where still a ton of smaller bass getting in the way. The next 3 months are going to be awesome!!!
  16. I have a 16ft tracker with a 25 horse. Can't miss me.
  17. The weather is going to be great this weekend. Winds will be SE 10-15 mph on Sun. If you are concerned about wind, get yourself a 10lb mushroom anchor and 12-15ft rope. That's what I have and used last month. Wind was blowing 25+ mph from the north. That was challenging especially on a 16 ft aluminum, but the fishing was awesome. We caught over 85 fish. Do not pass up this weekend.
  18. I will keep an eye out for you in the future. Good luck.
  19. Get better soon. Stick to fishing.
  20. I knew just by looking at the thread title that it had to be a Big O fish. Guess I was right. Great fish!
  21. That is the place. There are ramps on both the north and south side. Depending on water level you can go through the Weir on the west , to go west on the alley. I will be there tomorrow. What boat do you have ? I will keep an eye out for you.
  22. Right now the glades is hot. Especially for little kids. Catch rates right now are at 100+ fish. They are not huge fish right now however to a little kid 1-2lb fish are awesome. Heck for an adult its awesome. Easiest place is off alligator alle, multiple ramps and easily accessible. Baits, soft plastics of all sorts, top waters of all sorts. I will be out there also. Good luck and have fun. Shiners are not really needed. Up to you.
  23. I looked at the chatillon scales. They look pretty good, and based on the description, they are top notch. I just might consider one.
