Do You Guys Ever Need A Break From Fishing?
That thought has never entered my mind..... EVER!! Lol!! Seriously speaking, if taking a break from fishing was my thought process I would re-evaluate what's going on and probably look into something else that might re-energize my passion. If it isn't fishing, it has to be something else. If there is isn't something else, then I would have to do some soul searching. Fortunately for me however I looooove bass fishing.

Monofilament For Frogs
Sorry, just saw this was your first post. Welcome to BR. Frogging is one of my favorite techniques. Braid's 0 shock absorption allows you to have stronger hooksets which you need for frog fishing. Mono has its applications too, but frog fishing isn't one of them. Too much spring action. That alone will not allow you to set the hook strong enough the majority of the time. Best of luck to you.

Fishing Trip In Florida!... But Something's Not Right.
More than likely. Bass are survivors, but this heat takes a toll on them.

I don't think anything is wrong. Welcome to South Fl in the summer. Those ponds, water temps were or are in the low 90's right now. Sending those bass metabolism through the roof. They are skinny but not sick skinny. When temps regulate the bass weights should come back too. The abundance of mayan's cichlids just proves how hot the water is. They thrive in these temps.- Malaysian Curados Just As Good As Japanese?
I have three I's and have had 0 problems thus far.- Top Hot Summer Lure
So far my best summer lure has been the HB frog. In the last 3 months I've caught 50 LMB's frogging. (3 month's to me equates to only 5 outings). The frog fishing has been awesome with heat and all.- Summer Froggin In The Glades 7/25/15
Fished the Alley, Miami Canal North and South yesterday with SouthFLBassHunter from 7am to 3pm. Contrary to weather reports the weather was actually awesome. We encountered 0 rain. Outside temps were nice and bearable, water temps were low to mid 80's, and water the level was up 1 ft. Boat traffic was minimal which is always a bonus. Started fishing with the frog and never put it down for the rest of day. Didn't have to. The action was consistent and it progressed to out right crazy throughout the day. We left at 3pm exhausted, and the fish not showing signs of slowing down. When I looked at my fish counter, I managed to land 25 bass, all on Mr Froggy. Here are some pics. Enjoy!!- Guide Near Kissimmee? Pontoon Boat?
I know that Disney have a couple of pontoon boats that they use for guided trips. The outings are very $$ and you can only go out for a max of 4 hours. If you do go, my best tip, take your own gear. Disney's gear flat out sucks.- I Don't Know What The Deal Is......
Trust me, I have been there. I am in a similar situation now as matter of fact. It's been brutally hot in South FL lately. I am fortunate to have the Everglades 45 min away from where I live. The water temps have been in the low 90's. Basically bath water. Although the temps have lowered as of late due to rain, its still hot. I know the bass are around. So I changed strategies and decided to flip and pitch in areas that I have passed for the last 15 yrs. Well... to make a long story short, my strategy paid off and I stuck one heckuva of fish. 2 fish exactly. But..... Sadly, for what ever reason my braid snapped on the first fish, and on the second one I managed to get its large head up and out before the fish threw the hook!! Broke my heart, but the point here is I changed my approach, and went with my gut to find the fish and I was rewarded with signs of life. The good news is however, I am returning tomorrow for round 2, and I am better equipped this time.... lol!!- I Don't Know What The Deal Is......
If you tried the shallows and you haven't caught anything worth your while, then I think its time to take to the depths and begin learning new techniques that will lead you nicer fish. Nothing ventured nothing gained. For years I avoided jigs as well as pitching and flipping. I was not confident in throwing these techniques. Didn't know what to feel for, when to throw the baits, etc... One day late last year it was cold, the fish were not hitting any of my normal offerings for the area I was fishing and I said what the hell. I threw a jig and within my first couple of casts caught a 4lb fish. I thought it was dumb luck so, I kept throwing the bait and continued catching fish. Once I figured out what the fish were doing, I continued to catch a 5lb and 5.5lb fish. I have become a believer of the jig ever since. I know I still have a lot to learn about the this bait, but the results have been awesome so far. The point I am trying to make is, get out of your comfort zone and you might be surprised what happens. Good luck to you.- Flipping Set Up
Welcome to BR, like several have mentioned depending on the cover you are fishing. The majority of my flipping is in the FL Everglades, and couple a times a year at Lake Kissimmee. I flip and pitch in some pretty dense vegetation my go to outfit for these situations is Champion 736 on 65lb braid. When I fish less dense cover with some open water around I will throw with a Champion 734 with 40lb braid. Anything less than that where I fish and your asking for heart ache.- Top Hot Summer Lure
Down here in South FL its been pretty dang hot!! Water temps were at 92.5 a few weeks ago, with the afternoon t-storms we have been having the water temps have dropped down to 86.5 degrees. I have been having success with HB frog out in the Glades lately, and sadly I may have lost a PB pitching in heavy vegetation last week. Decent jig bite every now and then. - Fishing Trip In Florida!... But Something's Not Right.
