  1. Minimum 108 days. That's nowhere near enough though... LOL.
  2. You have plenty of choices that's for sure. Good luck.
  3. I have been a moss green PP guy for years, its never let me down. Cheaper at Walmart.
  4. GatorB, I live in South Fl, and I do plenty of canal fishing. My personal go to rod reel set up that has been my workhorse for the canals has been my Avid 7ft MH, and a Lews tournament MG. I have 40lb PP on it and if need be I carry 15 lb fluro with me for leaders. This combo has landed and handled bass over 7+ lb's from the banks with ease.
  5. When one decides to take my lure, which is extremely, extremely, rare the gator gets to keep it. LOL
  6. Congrats Jacob!! You landed that pig!! That puts you at 97.5"!! WTG!!
  7. It may be good for them, but the quality of materials for their components might change. I have learned and experienced that although dealing with China may be cheaper, their quality of materials are not. I wish Ardent luck.
  8. I have that same problem but with gators!!
  9. I really enjoy fishing with someone, who enjoys fishing as much as me. I bank fish alone the majority of the time, and I prefer that because I only bank fish for 2 hours at a time when I can. I treat that as my me time. However, when I go out on my boat, I like to fish with someone. Extra hands, and someone to chat with every once in a while.. LOL... is nice.
  10. Thank you for sharing. My Dad is still with me, but the words you shared were deep, and insightful. Merry X-mas.
  11. When you said rare, it made me remember of times when I went fishing in the park, and my lure was attacked by exotic lizards. I will normally cast my soft plastic to other side of the bank and then drag it into the water. Sometimes as my lure landed on the other side of the bank, a lizard will come out of nowhere running only on its hind legs and try to eat my lure. Craziest thing to watch.
  12. Merry X-mas to all the Bragging Rights gang!!
  13. It looked like a nice quiet foggy morning.
  14. Thanks for the video Shane. I pass through that area for work 2 days out of the week. It's such a pretty area to fish. Such an awesome fishery right in the heart of Miami. I love it.
  15. After a buddy of mine introduced me to real bass fishing in the everglades out of his 14ft aluminum boat. That following year, 1999, to be exact, I bought myself a Tracker Pro 165. 14yrs later I still fishing out of it. Motor and TM are still working fine.
  16. Those catches do put you at 72.5", they also bump you up to 8th place. Remember the pics later. Oh! you get bonus points for the pickerel. LOL...
  17. I knew it!! LOL.... Nice catch finally broke the 18" mark. That's nice fish. I documented your catch and you are the man to beat, at 95". Nice job!! That's a great way to stand before you leave out of town.
  18. LOL. There is one in the Bargain room now. It's been there for the longest time.
  19. Ooops!! Tomustang came up with a similar thread already. Sorry.
  20. I have a 5 year old girl too. She can be talker also. I get what your saying about not being quiet while you're are fishing, and I come to realize, that my daughter and you're daughter love their Dad's and just want to share the time with us. There is a point coming really soon, where we are going to wish/hope they spoke to us.
  21. So I waited a little bit before posting this weeks standings and watch how Dsidle is going to post a little later on how he broke the 18" mark. LOL. 1. Joe: 21" 20.5" 20.5" 16" 15.5" = 93.5" 2. LunkMaster: 21" 19" 18.5" 17.5" 17" = 93" 3. Dsidle: 19.5" 18.5" 18" 18" 18" = 92" 4. Jacob: 21.5" 21" 17" 16.5" 15" = 91" 5. Bassinlou: 20" 19" 17.5" 16" 16"= 88.5" 6. BostonSox: 19.5" 17" 17" 16.5" 16" = 86" 7. Rovingmutt: 18.5" 18.5" 16" 15.5" 15.5" = 84" 8. LMG: 21" 17" 16" = 54" 9. FishinDaddy: 19" 18.5" = 37.5" 10: ZachD: 17.5" 13.5" = 31" There you have it. We have 8 days left and its anybody's contest. One to two fish of the right size can mean the difference between 1st or 5th. Good luck. For the people who are travelling. You gave it a good run, have a safe trip and Merry Xmas. It was fun being your director for this tournament. We will be here when you get back, and hopefully with a new tournament director and I think new and refreshing tourney guidelines. Don't mark my words though. That's the rumor. Next time I post standings, it will be to wrap up the December Finale.
  22. Earlier this year someone from BR, asked what everyone's 2013 fishing resolutions were going to be. Mine was catching a 8lb + bass. I fell short of that goal by a 1lb. I caught two, 7+lb bass. I will shoot for that goal again in 2014. What about you guys and gals, did you meet your fishing resolutions?
  23. Don't you hate it when they can't wait for you.
  24. I thought I answered this question already, but there is something else I would like to work on next year. I would like to work on slowing down my fishing. Be more patient and not over work a lure, or situation. Lastly, when I do have a chance to get on the water, I fail to reflect and enjoy the moment. I get so lazer focus on trying to figure out what the fish want or focused on just catching fish that the day just passes me by.
