i was fishing in a pond with a couple of my friends. i wanna say my age was around 15 years old. well on to the point. i had a crankbait in my hand tying it on my line and my friend yanked his rod to set the hook. when he did, the boat moved and i lost my balance and i fell. the treble hook went into my index finger. had to go to the er to get it cut out of my finger. not fun.

Ive just been introduced to them by a local sportsman warehouse sales rep. They were pretty expensive. Priced from $8.99 to $13.99. Anyone ever used these before? The designs on there baits are so realistic and thats what caught my eye. Just wondering if they were worth the amount of money they cost? I dont wanna spend that kind of money if they arent gonna last at least a few months.

cutbait such as shinners, shad, herring and bream if you can use it in your state. of course live bait is always the best. if u have sand perch there u can also use them.

ive never heard of it. have you tried to google it to see who makes it? that would be a good option if noone replys to your thread. if you find the company that makes the slingshot bait im sure you could find it on ebay. people sell alot of vintage lures on there.

probably a breakdown. i rent uhauls on the side with our electrical company. you wouldnt believe how many people come in to rent trucks bc of break downs. funny people thou.

i fish for catfish and bass at night. you will have alot of success fishing cats at night. what type of cats are around your area?

you can use all kinds of things for bait. anything that stinks works well. i catfish more often than i bass fish. Shinners, shad, herring are the main bait fish you can buy in a store to fish with. try to find a local bait shop by the river you fish. walmart carrys shad in bags made by little sinker but IMO its not worth anything. you can always catch baitfish with a castnet. i would use bream but we arent suppose to use that in the state of sc the last time ive checked the law. something that we tear them up on here are catawba worms if you can find them. do you deer hunt? one of my secret baits that works well for me is deer heart. save it if you deer hunt. just to many different baits to use. if you wanna know a few others just ask or send me a pm. hope this helps

ive always used shinners and jig with them. nothing better than the real thing imo.

wow dude thats a nice catch even thou you tail hooked the fish. ive never caught a carp before.
