Culling Help
Correct, weigh, record the weight, put the corresponding float on the fish and in the livewell it goes. Whole process generally takes no more than a minute and you are fishing again.

Culling Help
Here is what I made for culling fish. The counter from Accu Cull is about as simple as you can get. Not shown in my photo is the individual colored floats with stringer hooks like this one from Bass Pro... http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Cull-System/product/74111/?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions I used a sharpie to number each one of the floats to correspond to the numbers on the Accu Cull counter. Even lucked out as the colors on the floats matched the colors on the counter. I bought a cutting board from Walmart and mounted all of the items to it and mounted the board on the underside of my rod locker lid. I just leave the floats loose in the bottom of the rod locker. Easy Peasy!!

Heading to Chickamauga in the AM
Stop by and chat with the guys at Soddy Custom Tackle. I was just down there 2 weeks ago for the first time and these guys were very helpful for me. As the name implies, they make many type of lures. They are north of Chester Frost a few miles.

Kvd Line And Lure Conditioner
They do sell it by the gallon. I get a few buddies together and we buy one. For the price of one small bottle you can have several times that on a gallon buy.

Sounds like dry eyes to me. I will have the same problem occasionally, no watering just dry and a very mild irritation.

Map Coordinates Help
I believe those are UTM coordinates, google it, it is a simplier way than degrees, minutes and seconds IMHO. You can also find a converter on the net to convert to your prefered coordinate system.

St Clair Tube Fishing
Hey all, I am heading up to LSC for the first time this week for a few days of smallie heaven!! How is everyone generally rigging and using their tubes for St Clair? I have fished Erie and done the drag but I am understanding that LSC is shallow fishing with weeds so I was wondering if a standard exposed hook tube jig is the norm. Any other pointers for the trip much appreciated!! We will be staying around Selfridge.

Driving A Bass Boat In Rough Water
I do recall a time or two that BASS had articles in their mags about operating a boat in different conditions but it has been a few years.

Line Conditioner
Love the KVD line conditioner, thanks for the tip on the gallon option. I just ordered a gallon from TW and will be splitting it up among a few club members. Works out to just over $.50/ounce.

Driving A Bass Boat In Rough Water
I think all boats handle the conditions slightly different due to different hull designs so you need to experiment. In my case my 18' champion does best for me with the motor trimmed all the way down and just enough speed to stay on pad and work the throttle as needed. The waves come in threes too so you can kinda time out and know when the really bad ones are due. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a single catch all answer for this situation.

Mud Hole Rods
I just finished my first build. It may not be the prettiest rod out there but it is perfectly functional and IMO,the appearance factor of my builds will only improve with practice. I considered buying one of the cheap kits to start out on but I knew that I would end up unhappy with the final product performance wise so I bought a St Croix SC5 blank to build on. If you are good at crafting / working with your hands you should be fine, if you are not mechanically inclined, have no patience or just not sure if this is for you then a cheap kit to practice with may be your best route. Take your time, soak up all you can on the rod building boards and go build one!

Anyone Use A Handhled Gps To Find Fish???
I use my handheld for marking / relocating spots, works great.

Colors, Do They Really Matter??
I would suggest Black / Blue, and any variations of brown or green. With the exception of clear water, I feel that colors are more a confidence thing for the angler.

Fluorocarbon Line Breaking
Sounds like you are getting some damage to the line when you backlash causing it to break. If this is happening with a new spool of line it could be that particular spool of line is bad. I have had that issue with mono in the past. Also, not saying you are not but, you need to carefully pick out a backlash. Pulling really hard on one can kink the line causing the problem you are having.

A Little Something I've Been Working On.
Sweeet looking build! How did you get the single line of accent color in the guide wrap? I am currently working on my first build and I can only hope to one day be able to do a build half as nice as that one looks...

Hook Sharpening - Whats The Point?
All my hooks get checked right out of the package for sharpness and I will touch them up if needed then or anytime during use. Gammies and Owners always seem to roll the points just a bit so I am always checking them.
