slump buster??Need help
Hipster..I dont think these lakes are fished out I think we both have the same problem..We give slow fishing about 10 minutes and fast fishing all day..When some of the waters we fish are so pressured, you have to slow down to entice that bass to bite..Thats why we are struggling with a spinnerbait, crankbait, or rattletrap because they have seen this bait oh so many times..Thats why, just like the poster said a few post back, you got to knock that little voice off your shoulder and stick to slow or finesse fishing..drop shotting, carolina rigs, spot removers, shakey heads, slider heads, jigs, etc.. I guess I should not complain to much, because this is the first year I really fished winter hard..I have caught a 8.6, 8.3, and 8.0..several 7 and 6 lbers..I guess I shouldnt get to greedy just trying to become better angler

slump buster??Need help
I would look for a fastball ..use to be baseball player..That was alot easier than fishing..I did not fiddle to much with my stance or anything like that..Thats the problem with fishing there are so many techniques that I get bogged down into thinking I got to do it all..Im going to just challenge myself to taking out worms and get the feel back into this again and grab some confidence..Once again thanks for your input..It will be put into good use.. I have a tourney saturday..so I hope I can get my groove back.. 8-)

slump buster??Need help
Ryan, fivebass, and needemp thanks for the advice..you guys are all right about what you have said..I guess what I am trying to say I stay up at all times of the nite on this site digesting and reading as much about different techniques that sometimes I make this harder than I should..I most definetly am a power fisherman and ryan I learned alot about fishing from you the day you came out and caught those nice fish on the spotremover..I remember we where loading up and you threw out into the middle of nowhere and you caught a three lber..I just need to sometimes keep it simple, stupid and fish..Thanks again guys

slump buster??Need help
Well guys I am in a serious fishing slump..Growing up, fishing small farm ponds and not having as much knowledge about fishing,I always through 5,6,7,8,10,12 inch worms..most of it was done with culprit worms in pumpkinseed, red shad, black shad, and solid black..I would fish this the whole time and boat many fish..I would texas rig throw out let sit and work the bait back to the boat...It seems to me the more knowledge I got about fishing the worse I feel I get at catching..Now let me explain..I have 8 reel combos rigged up..the majority of course is powerfishing techniques(spinnerbaits, crankbaits, rattletraps, shadraps, and of course buzzbaits..} I also have a spotremover, texas rig, jig, and dropshot tied on..The problem I see i am doing is not slowing down like a should, because I dont have the confidence in slowing down..when I do slow down i feel like i dont have a chance in you know what to catch a fish..I feel all the different techniques I have learned is bogging down my catching..do you guys stick with one thing or do you have all these different lures tied on..Some good advice would be greatly appreciated..

Perry's record is in BIG trouble!!!!!
I guess I shouldnt have said force feed, im sure they like it..but it is kind of like using hgh and not using..of course the fish will be bigger stronger and more agile with all the protein they are ingesting..I for one once again would like for trout to be feed to the fish here in georgia..Lets put everyone on a level playing field..

Perry's record is in BIG trouble!!!!!
This is all getting kind of crazy..If they do recognize the 25 lb fish.. I know one thing, it would be hard pressed for that record to ever be broken..But when you force feed trout to these behemoths it is just a matter of time..So far as everyone getting upset...who cares...it does not affect me or any other of my fellow georgians...as long as its legit lets move on..this is getting old

Ok, Ok, Ok , guys I am deciding to step forward..When I was 5 years old I went fishing with my dad and caught a 23.6 bass on snoopy rod and reel..we weighed it on a certified 3 dollar zebco scale..I am stepping forward..Who do I call.. ;D

Look at this system for electric only
What has me interested it is running on 24 volts..So two batteries instead of 6 for the two 101 and 4 for the briggs..and i just spent 700 on the new 101 if I buy two that is 1400.00//I saw were yamaha has a 9.9 electric but it around 7000gs...And the ray for around 5 gs is ridiculous to me..

Look at this system for electric only
I have really been in a quandry regarding whether to buy the briggs outboard electric or go with two 101 minn kotas..I got the cabelas in today and saw this..I have studied the one minnkota makes but could not figure out how to make it work without outboard..

Why pros don't use live bait?
Now,now Craig.. :..Yes you have caught many fish on live bait and that is fine and dandy..I have enjoyed our recent success with this technique..However everyone be for warned that if you do this you will get extremely spoiled once you do this..There is not much skill in live bait fishing besides finding the bait fish and catching it..The first time I went by myself with this technique two weeks ago a buddy of mine and me caught 25 in 4hours time with the average around 6lbs..Once you found the bait fish, catch it, drop your line over board, sit it in the rod holder watch the bait get nervous and boom fish on...The biggest I have caught this year on live bait is 8 and half pounds..I caught a 8lber on a spinnerbait and I feel I accomplished more on the spinnerbait than the live bait..That being said, in the winter and fish being hard to catch, it is fun catching and not fishing the whole time...But you will get spoiled and this will be all you want to do..Not me im about the challenge and personally I dont think live bait fishing is a challenge..If I caught a 15lber on live bait I would get excited but not as much as if I caught it on artificial..Just my two cent
