This site is always slow

The only diffrance I have heard about bass color comes from what color the water is. If the lake is always naturally muddy the bass will tend to be a bit more brownish and in clearer the large mouth bass will be more green. Not exactly sure if a fishes color will change by what cover they are in as they are not chameleons and do not stay in 1 place for a long enough time to start changing. P.s. you should know what kind of cover you are fishing in when you are fishing. Not sure how helpful something like this would overall be.

The best fighting fish I have ever caught would have to be monster size river red fish. I was fishing with my uncle in some river down in NC and caught a gigantic red fish. However after catching a small red fish in a bay my idea's on red fish changed since it seems only the large ones fight good. Game fish : Small mouth Trash fish : Carp Salt water fish : Not really sure.

If I am going to get skunked I tend to tie on a 6lb mono leader and downsize to a small 2 inch grub and catch crappies and small large mouth bass (This is only if I brought a long my medium or light tackle fishing rods because catching crappies on a MH rod is no fun at all) I used to tie on a chatter bait but they have not been working all that great for me this year even during when the temperature drops at the end of the day.

My all time favorite trailer for a jig is the Zoom Swimmin' Chunk. No mater the condition it always works for me. I suggest picking up a pack of these.

If I did not just get my wisdom teeth out I would have the biggest smile on my face! I love these things on a jig head. Once I start stop being in pain from my pulled out teeth I am definitely getting many packs of these.

I do not spend the extra money on red hooks. As other people said it is more of a confidence thing rather then a "If you would of thrown a red hook you would of caught that fish" Bass strike for 4 different categorys Spawning, food, territory, and mood. When a fish strikes it does not look at any specific parts. If you throw the right bait in the right depth at the right speed the bass will strike it weather it has a red hook or not.

For a 6" worm a 3/0 hook size should be good.

I think it is because the fishes natural scene to kill and eat. It see's something slow in the water like your senko but just a glimpse of it to not see its full size and goes after it. Works on small fry to. Early morning get a large 10" worm and find a schooling group of minnows or fry and just move it slow on the shore and watch a bunch of those little fish swim twords it trying to bite it.

I remember one time I was fishing a lake and these kids come up with there parents and put an electrical remote controlled toy boat in the water and were trying to hit my line or something because they were never to far away from my line. It was sad to see 2 adults did not have the common curtsy > to let there children drive there toy boat some were else > Also the rock thing does happen to me a lot. I do not bother saying anything I just move on to a other part of the lake since the fish are spooked it is not worth sounding like a *****.

Funny because personally I never have any success with Gulp. Then again I never tried the turtleback worms maybe ill get a pack of them.

I am not to fond of top water lures but when fishing ponds one of the first things that touches my hands are a Rapala Skitter Pop in the bull frog color. A thing about ponds is that if it is not a pressured lake almost anything that is not to large will work. I find that top water lures work really good. Also finesse worms work real good to.

Maybe it was not coontail. I am not very smart when it comes to classifying weeds. But yes there was never really an invasion of weeds it was just the perfect amount to being able to locate bass really easy. But since there are no more weeds there is no more visible cover except the 2 docks on the lake. Any one know when they will grow back?

One of the lakes that I used to fish a lot still suffers from when they almost drained the lake dry when they had to fix the dam. Well for all of the vegetation in the lake was exposed to dry land and no water. Now there is no more weeds like coontail which was the best way to find bass since there is no visible cover anywhere else in the lake. There are a few man made structures that were put in the lake but I have no idea were they are. So pretty much what will happen with the lakes vegetation will they start to grow by next year or what?

My dad got me into the sport of fishing. But I practically taught myself from fishing every time I had a chance. Then I came across this site and I learned even more! The first baits I started using were crank baits since they made there own action and I did not have to do much work to catch fish. Then I started using soft plastics and such. I am glad I had such success of crank baits that got me into this sport.

Noodling seems dangerous. The catfish can drown you, you have the odds of having the catfish spiking you (not dangerous but it can hurt), and you also never know what else is in the water poisonise snakes for example. I am not against noodling it is just something I would never try. A good substitute to use if you are not a rod and line kind of a guy, much more fun then casting and waiting.

My family and I came home from fathers day dinner. I went downstairs to let my sisters dog out of our bathroom since she is still a puppy and not fully house broken yet it. I looked over at the window to see it looked like rain. The only problem was that it was a beautiful sunny day. I went a little closer to notice that the window was smashed. I called my dad down and we found out it was broken by a rock since we found pieces of rock in front of the window. No one stole anything they just smashed are window with a rock. I am just surprised that none of our neighbors spotted it or something because a window smashing is a loud sound. The thing I hate the most is that I do not know who broke it or why they broke it. I bet it was probably some one that does not like my sister. She is your average 18 year old with the dumb "he said she said" gossip. Any one that might of gotten hurt from rumors or drama could of possibly done this. My mom filed a report and a police officer is coming. Not like we will ever know who did it though. I will take a picture of it just to show you the what a 1,000 dollar window looks like smashed Jeeze what a fathers day for my dad >

This is pretty old. I guess if you do not know the trick and you try it on some one they would be a little shocked I guess.

Yea it is common to snag one of those big ones. In most places taken or disturbing them is illegal or that just might be my state.
