Hitting Bottom
I have bumped some things in the lake I usually fish.........but just at the trolling speed.....not as fast as when coming off plane though. I can not speak to nicks....I willhave to wait and see along with you when the experts chime in.

Fiberglass Guy
Ok..........What he said. Because I have zero hands on experience.......hence the reason I have a fiberglass guy. He live close in the neighborhood and does a housecall for me so the work gets done here at the house. I know he uses some type of putty and hardener I think.....does some wet sanding and sprays a little something on it too........but I could not tell you what it is. sorry.

Major League Fishing 2013
Loved the show.............but you absolutly can not watch it with anyone sleeping in the house.....have the perfect volume to enjoy the show..........then Ike catches a fish and starts screaming like a lunatic and wakes people up.....great fisherman and very entertaining when sound volume is not an issue.

Hydrofoil Stabilizer Snake Oil Or Da Bomb?
Already have the 4 blad prop.................think I will give it a shot...........not worried about the drag...if it even does cause the drag because I never run at full speed. Thanks for all the input folks.......looks like some good ponits.

A Quick Poll
I have on occasion relied totally on the brake system without using the thumb............this was not by design and ALWAYS resulted in an extended period of de-tangling one horrific birds nest. I always use my thumb and adjust the brake system to the lure I am using.

Hydrofoil Stabilizer Snake Oil Or Da Bomb?
I saw the hydrofoil stabilizer mentioned in another current post. I was wondering do these really work/help or are they snake oil? I have a 2001 Pro Craft 185 pro with 150HP Mercury and I would like to get on plane a little quicker. Just wondering.......Bass Pro have some that are not too expensive but would hate to waste $40-$50 on snake oil when I could use it on alot of other fishig stuff.

Anyone Tell Me What These Are?
I do have aerated live wells.....................that makes sense to me. Now I should be able to get to sleep tonight a little quicker..................not alot quicker because I am still thinking about mounting my fishfinders and thinking about getting the boat out of hibernation. Thanks

Jig Colors
I was gonna do my own jigs too.......then I figured out how much the start up costs were gonna be vs how many jigs I will actually go through in a season. I decided to use SiebertOutdoor jigs........cost is right and selection is fantastic. I have made him my go to jig source. Although I do think I would have had fun building my own jigs..............now I just use that fun time doing something else fun!

Anyone Tell Me What These Are?
Can anyone tell me what these are? I have one on each side of the boat..............just even or a little behind the bench seat.

Mounting A Solar Panel
and mounting it on the motor with velcro.........I would be worried about the heat of summer heating the adhesive up and then letting go. I have been wondering about a use for those since seeing them at bass pro.......but I have not been able to determine a need that would make the hassling with them a cost effective venture. i would be interested in hearing the outcome though.

Question About A Boat Price
you can go to the nada website and find the value of the boat. Here is the site...it will take you to the 2000 tracker line. http://www.nadaguides.com/Boats/2000/Tracker-Marine Then you will know the fair market value. Then you will just have to determine if the boat meets your needs for a fishing boat.

Fiberglass Guy
Got my fiberglass guy over today repairing the 2 screw holes left after I removed my transom mounted transducer.......and a couple of nicks/gouges on the lower back edge of the transom. I think he reasonable prices and does a pretty good job too. I know it is an old boat with a fair amount of oxidation on the topcap..........but I try to treat her like she was 2 days old off the assembly line. I have a few other things I would like to freshen up......like the livewell and lighting control panel at the console and bow.....buttons are sun beaten and the lettering on the buttons and the panel are faded badly. Would like to keep it looking original if I can. Gonna try Tracker on monday with the serial number to see if they can find and replacement parts laying around in a warehouse anywhere. a little off topic......I just get excited when I get my boat repaired.......like a 50 year old little kid.

Opinions On Whats A Better Option For 260 Acre Reservoirs
X2 what 00 Mod says. Think it all the way through..........are you ever going to want to take it to another water body to fish? Don't want to make a hasty decision and then realize it will not let you go everywhere you wanted to take it.

Oh Boy.. I'm In Trouble.
HOLY COW! THERE ARE 2 MONKEYS? That explains why the little guy looks puzzled when I tell him, "but you just told me to buy the new reel?" , after he tells me to buy the new fishfinder! They're twins! And all this time I thought it was the same monkey. Huh. Holy Cow!

Oh Boy.. I'm In Trouble.
I will remain 'mum' on that subject. But rest in the knowledge, you had it extremely mild compared to my 'outbreak' of the holiday bait monkey.

Help Picking Electronics
If your near a Bass Pro or similar store........go down and look at them and get some button time in on them to see which one meets your needs. I never advise which model someone should buy. Lowrance and Humminbird both make quality products. My preference is Side Image first (expensive), Down Image second, and 2d last. I'm sorry I am not more help on this.......but it tends to be a personal preference thing. If you are not in a hurry......you can watch for someone that is selling their previous unit because they are upgrading. That way you might be able to get more for your money. But keep in mind that is will not be new and will have no warranty or guarantee...........sometimes you can get a square trade warranty on items purchased on ebay.

Livewell Drain Plug When Not Using Livewell
Sorry, no can help there since I do not have drain plugs. I would think that I would leave them in to keep out the water/mud/silt.

Sonars
If you can afford it...I would go with Side Imaging first......then Down Imaging as my second choice.....and just 2d sonar as my last choice featurewise. I just switched over to Lowrance from Humminbird but I think they both make a quality product. My change was initiated more due to logistics. I do not like to recommend any particular model.......it is a very subjective and personal choice. I suggest you find a retailer in your area where you can go see all the different models in person and get a little button time with them. Bass Pro and Cabelas are good ones but any retailer that has them on displacy and running in demo mode. You can exit the demo and play the buttons to see which might suit your fancy. Good luck

Pulling Boat Long Distances With Suv
I will not tell you to pull it or not.......that is a decision you will need to make. The things I consider are: condition of the tow vehicle? (tires, overall) does the vehicle have a tow package? (larger radiator ect) what is the weather and terrain expected? (hot/hills) condition of the trailer? (wheel bearings tires, ect) I drive a 2011 nissan frontier club cab....6 cyl...auto and I will be pulling my boat (fiberglass) from Tulsa to Pickwick (not as far as you)......the thought to 'not' take it never entered my mind. If the vehicle is in good condition I would probably take my boat if I were in your postion. But you know the condition of your vehicle and boat trailer better than anyone......but you must be prepared for any unforseen developments. hope to see you there.
